I don’t know if web3 is inevitable. It’s just a label attached to a new feature set we are figuring out how to use in games. Digital assets players can own and trade freely are inevitable. Communities passionate about decentralized ecosystems they can participate in as owners are inevitable. Smooth user experience to write immutable data for players without regard for chain or wallet is inevitable. Sustainable economies built around owned assets in great games are inevitable. Free to play took almost seven years to get from early experiments to becoming a mainstream business model with best practices. Making player owned economies a standard feature of games is obviously going to take time. But it’s definitely inevitable.
