Meet Lee Seung-ho, a 24-year-old South Korean university student in Seoul, who lost all of his $202,515 earned via 500% margin loan. He plans to borrow again and return to the market the moment he has enough capital. Within weeks, his account had fallen below his initial

Record inflows into semis, korea, memory AFTER their largest rally ever (bigger than 1999). Traders posting analyst's upgraded targets/earnings revisions un-ironically (like that is a reason why they are going to keep going up). Fundamentalists screaming from the mountain tops

In case this is anyone's first time. Semis and Memory names are highly cyclical (boom/bust). I personally love trading them because they TREND like nothing else. Just be aware, when it's over, they can drop farther than you can imagine. Is the trend over? I don't know.

I still remember the first time I got caught in a blow up trade. The disbelief, frozen in fear. The thought that "this can't possibly be happening to me. I'm a special snowflake. This kind of stuff only happens to other people." Was a punch in the gut. ANY-THING can happen

Spoke with a friend in China who regularly travels to Nigeria to do business and hires security to escort him around with AK-47s so he can pass “check points” (bribe spots) with guys who are also armed with AK-47s. He finds that less risky than trading stocks.

came across a discussion & there's a misconception between 'Trading For A Living' and being a 'Full-Time Trader' TFAL is the ultimate grail. it is extremely difficult to achieve even being profitable to a 7-fig trading a/c for 8yrs (I'm in #fintwit for 12 yrs 😅) let me explain

Note that when Margin debt was -25% or lower, those were generational buying opportunities.

Found this from Grok asking it to extend the previous chart back to the 1970s. Pretty amazing.

Not a timing tool, this peaked in Feb 2021 but the indexes didn't peak until December 2021. Just be aware where we are in the cycle.

Extremely excited to announce our first air-to-air kill of a flying moth by an autonomous micro-drone. This is a big step towards completely eradicating mosquitoes.

It's like reading the cliffnotes for a trading book, listening to an audiobook or watching a 10 minute YouTube summary of the book. It's incredible the lengths people will go to for shortcuts instead of doing the work. People are shocked that I update and go over my excel

I had a pretty good idea that the top 10 trades made my entire year. I went back to my data to see just how close it was. Top 10 trades = 127 risk adjusted R Total risk adjusted R return for 2025: 129 So yeah, remove the top 10 trades and I am break even.

This paragraph by Haruki Murakami hits hard: “Once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”
