Hard times create or brings to light character and work ethic though. It’s understandable that the founders are human and have their own inner struggles and emotions. As the leader though you shove that down, and put your best foot forward because you put yourself in that position of leadership. At the end of the day your customers don’t care about your emotions either. They care if whatever service is being provided to them meets or exceeds their expectations that the founders/platforms are obliged to provide. Do I care if Jeff Bezos is sad or emotional because he had a personal issue come up? No I want my package here tonorrow because that is the obligation Amazon is provided to give with the terms I’ve set with them. That mentality should be no different in Web3. The market conditions really separate the men from the boys. Those that know how to source liquidity, market, budget, innovate, and maintain an omnipresence in their ecosystem and not isolate themselves are the ones who will win as time goes on.

Someone starting a company shouldn’t rely on the community to do the work for them though. It’s up to the platform to market themselves. That may mean sourcing liquidity to pay someone to do that, or doing it yourself through all media outlets. On the other hand where I’m from if the service you provide is excellent then usually you get that word of mouth spread. Not saying the platform or service this company provided wasn’t excellent because I truly don’t know. But that’s something else to think about. Because are there slight nuances to blockchains, DLTs, etc. Sure but at the end of the day Customer Service to all who utilize your platform is what actually matters. These projects building on the L1s need to realize that their customers is what matters because the teats of foundations and VCs are drying up. Word of mouth can be a powerful tool but most of these companies aren’t worthy for my mouth to spread.
