Yesterday, May 19, @TeamPillen proclaimed May as #RenewableFuelsMonth — and it also comes during Clean Air Month, a reminder of the important role cleaner-burning fuels can play in protecting public health and supporting American energy.

The House recently passed HR 1346 advancing year-round E15, boosting fuel access, cost savings, and cleaner options. The bill now moves to the Senate for consideration and potential final approval.

This Renewable Fuels Month we're recognizing how renewable fuels are already part of Nebraska’s transportation system. Ethanol, biodiesel, and renewable diesel—made from crops like corn, soybeans, and sorghum—are helping power vehicles and fleets today.

As the second-largest ethanol producer in the country, Nebraska plays a major role in America’s renewable fuels industry. In 2025, the use of ethanol blends like E10 helped Nebraska drivers save $300 million, showing how RFs support affordability and energy resilience.
