@coachklee @CoachIvany ABSOLUTELY!!! play calling is a lost art, I feel. The no huddle hurry up, 8 seconds a play, to go 3 and out generation of spin the wheel and choose a play, 65 to 90 plays on a wristband, never learned how to call plays. But they are all great playcallers. 😁

Hmmm. So football is in the fall, right after summer. Baseball is in spring, well after the fall. But let's not get have our kids at summer workouts. Skip summer workouts and see how far you get with the Varsity program, especially in Football states. I say it and have a sign up on the office door.... Offseason conditioning isnt mandatory, but neither is playing time.

Yes thats part of coordinating and running the gameplan. So you dont call plays? You've taught your guys so very well that they know all the same tendencies that you and the staff have seen from extensive film study, that you dont have to call any plays? Kudos if so. Im only relquinishing a tiny bit of control om friday nights, I want the game plan to act the way I want it to in my 20 plus years of play calling. While I have great players who give feedback and understand alerts and checks, they only get so much rope on that avenue.

@coachklee @CoachIvany I dont really agree coach, if your system and game plan is sound, your not running dive on 2nd and long and calling 4 verts on 4th and inches. Play calling is the chess match on friday nights that win games.

200+ Dont carry to much in playbook. Alot of ways to skin a cat/plays become redundant. You dont need 6, c2 beaters and 8 c3 beaters. Its players not plays. Good players make bad play calls look good, and bad players make good play calls look bad. What got you to redzone, dont change playcalls now. Have multiple 2pt plays that are game winners when needed. Have a trick play a week practice it weekly. By week 10, you have 10 plays in that bag that could be handy during the final game or playoffs run

@Coach_JStewart What if you do run 2 man and empty? We run both, alot. The real question with this,, would be, why do you have dbs playing linebacker and 5 wrs, zero rbs/tes.
