I was hoping this sad story would end and we could all move on from Walter Mitty. But no. So allow me to give my opinion. He was a mentally ill liar who got opportunities because he was black and a bit retarded. When challenged he killed himself. This was the act of a coward. He had a young family and he abandoned them. Coward. Jason Arday is the modern British man. Weak. Pathetic. Living in a make believe world. Over feminised. And spending all his time in a career which is worthless and offers nothing of value. He should not be praised. He should not be vilified. He should be pitied and used as an example of what men should never do or become. The only victims of this sad story are his children. And regardless of how little he thought of them, they deserved better. The lesson of this story is make sure you are better than Jason. Do not fall into the same mistakes and crumble under the pressure. For if you do, you were never a man of real value. Only the resemblance of one. Men need tough love and the truth.
