Het is prachtig om te zien dat de 'wappies' op *alle* punten gelijk hadden. En het was allemaal zo doorzichtig. Hoe, in Godsnaam hoe zijn al die mensen daar bloedserieus in kunnen trappen? Dokters, verpleegkundigen, ingenieurs, academici (vooral die), advocaten, managers (vooral die), politici (OK, die lat ligt heel laag), ambtenaren (idem), etc. De hele zwik. Zo'n kleine 75% was ermee weg. Niet zelden schuimbekkend van woede over die verderfelijke sceptici en 'anti-vaxxers'. En de andere ca. 25% is het vertrouwen in de wetenschap, geneeskunde en instituties voor altijd kwijt (en geven dat aan hun kinderen mee). Want die weten - net als ik - dat de gemiddelde oncoloog, advocaat, rechter, ambtenaar, wetenschapper, ingenieur of manager als het erop aankomt minder kritisch nadenkt dan zijzelf. En dat heeft helemaal niks met diploma's of IQ te maken. Ik vind dat echt fascinerend.
