@W4NDAS It honestly should’ve been Hawkeye. Natasha was the one who had grown and progressed and held the world together for five years. Hawkeye went Punisher and they paid lip service to the idea that he’s changed and gone too far. Then nothing. No accountability or redemption.
@doraemaynat She was poised to take over with the Avengers’ Big Three ending or stepping back. She was finally getting a movie the next year. She’s played by one of the biggest stars and one of the few actors with a thriving career outside of the MCU Killing her off was such a mistake.
@Volta1228 Love the idea that 8-12 hours of optional TV a year is somehow too much for audiences, as if they wouldn’t be watching TV anyway.
@comicaccuracy I see way more people talking about how Heat influenced The Dark Knight than I see people actually talking about Heat.
@filmstofilms_ She already secured her acting cred by garnering Oscar talk for her breakout role in a surprise hit horror movie. This move was a no brainer. She’s a future movie star. Getting steady MCU blockbusters keeps her famous and gives her the opportunity to pursue other projects.
@McAwsome_n Black Widow has some of the most distinctive cinematography and color grading I can remember in the MCU. The meme of Yelena on the green screen is cherry picking and wouldn’t be surprised if it was driven by woman-hating.
@JAIMEAMARISCAL @BatFamNerd Yeah, a lot of it was. The Chinese Snyder Cut “fan” he interviewed with during DC Fandome was also a paid actress. Not sure how directly involved Snyder was with all that stuff but it’s pretty crazy that the WB basically financed another movie to appease grifters and bots.

Someone also tried recruiting Marz himself, but he somehow wasn't into joining the "Ron Marz should be fired" movement. H.E.A.T. later changed their "A" from "Attack" to "Advancement" and reportedly became less heated. They also paid 3 grand for a double-page Wizard mag ad.

@swiftieiam13 That Bruce/Nat romance basically came out of nowhere and they were the two Avengers who probably should have trusted each other the least. Also think this relationship would have been better for showing Steve moving forward with life, instead of never, ever getting past Peggy.
@_TheSmartAlec1 Do you actually think that Dreykov’s daughter was a simple and clean result? She was horribly scarred and then enslaved into a living robot. No childhood, no life. The point of that was a personification of Nat’s past sins, and how she overcomes that by saving rather than killing
@_TheSmartAlec1 She was “chosen” because of simple genetics because of course you would screen for athleticism. It wasn’t anything grander than that. Her mother was a nobody that they killed for asking too many questions. You’re going out of your way to add negative narratives onto these things.
@_TheSmartAlec1 Real life evil organizations are not wiped away in a single attack. The mind control was making a point about bodily autonomy specific to women. They also weren’t angels w/o it. The mind control was an extra layer of suffering. And Dreykov’s daughter was far from unscathed.
@Vanyabug The point of the show was literally that these “terrorists” had a point and that even if you should stop them, you should also consider the reasons they were fighting in the first place.
@_TheSmartAlec1 Her movie was social commentary about how society and the powers that be MAKE you a certain way, and about fighting back against that. She’s the overlooked person who’s all about forming closer connections to others and uplifting them up. Smh at the dismissiveness (“sex appeal”).
@_TheSmartAlec1 Hard disagree. MCU Natasha is the hero who doesn’t feel like one. The one who’s made good but is always looking backward at her dark past. She’s the one who quietly formed deep bonds with the other Avengers, and sees them as family. Scarlett brought a quiet intensity to the role.
