mfers have been the earliest adopters/pioneers of many leading protocols/apps in crypto today. i’ve personally been interested in E2E encryption as it relates to messaging… started testing out @CommDotApp yesterday mostly bc it has connect with @farcaster_xyz already set up…killer use case of open social graph. haven’t met the team yet…lot to learn/understand in regards to their approach…but thought i’d share as i begin exploring.

When you see an ENS name on Comm, you have cryptographic proof you're talking to the owner. ENS resolution happens locally on Comm clients based on wallet addresses. Wallet addresses are attested by signature during SIWE, and that signature is individually verified on clients.

Comm is built for async messaging. Discord forces admins to hack around limited formatting options when composing long-form content. In contrast, Comm has full Markdown support – everything ranging from links, to subheadings, to nested bullet points.

hard to pick favorites, but one of the convos I’m most excited about rn is with @CommDotApp - very much worth a look IMHO. feels a lot like what Keybase was trying to do before they got Zoomified, and what Signal won’t do, for whatever reason. but also - web3-licious.
