Thank you for the privilege to serve you and your family throughout the years at Community Medical Center Long Beach. Community Medical Center closed on July 3, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. We are grateful to the many dedicated physicians, employees and volunteers who served the community.
Our hearts and condolences are with @lbfd and Captain David Rosa’s family.
As of 6 a.m., our Emergency Department is closed indefinitely. Do you know the difference between Emergency Room care or Urgent Care? Emergency rooms are best in cases where conditions are life-threatening. Urgent care locations are best for non-life threatening cases.
Tomorrow, Monday, June 25, at 6 a.m., our Emergency Department will be officially closed.
On Monday, June 25, our Emergency Department will be closed indefinitely. If you have an illness or injury that requires urgent care, here is a list of local urgent cares with extended hours.
On Monday, June 25, our Emergency Department will be closed permanently. Do you know when to use the Emergency Room or vs. Urgent Care? Emergency rooms are the best when conditions are life-threatening. Urgent care locations treat non-life threatening illnesses and injuries.

One of our employees, Sara Erskine, gave the gift of life recently when she donated her kidney to a person in need. Sara along with several colleagues had the honor of placing roses on the @DonateLife float at the Rose Parade in honor of Sara’s selfless act & on our behalf.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, our Center for Mental Health & Wellness patients were able to enjoy a wonderful holiday season. We’re grateful to our community for their support of our patients this past holiday season and throughout the year.

Starting Thursday, Dec. 28 visitor restriction is in effect. To protect our patients and the community from possible infection, visitors are asked not to visit if they are ill. Until further notice, children under the age of 13 will be unable to visit.
