This is absolutely egregious. The Liberal government has issued a directive barring military chaplains from doing prayers at military ceremonies. Instead, they're permitted only to do a non-religious "spiritual reflection" that cannot mention God.

Wake the hell up. The world is upside down and our cultures, our norms, and the basic deal that made this country work are being dismantled in real time. I don’t know if we can still stop it. I grew up in a Canada where hard work still bought a home and a family, where basic standards of behaviour were expected of everyone, and where assimilation into the country’s culture and laws was normal. That deal is gone. In eleven years we have imported people at a volume the country cannot house, integrate, or employ while simultaneously abandoning the expectation that newcomers adopt the basic norms that made this place functional. Public spaces littered, hygiene standards ignored, and common rules treated as optional — yet pointing it out is instantly branded racist. When I was young, those behaviours were shamed no matter who did them. Now the rules appear to apply differently depending on who you are. The same pattern runs through everything else. Capital and talent leave by the billions. Federal executives collect hundreds of millions in bonuses while missing half their targets. Failed politicians are recycled into new high-paying roles. Emergency powers used against the Freedom Convoy were ruled illegal by two court systems — yet no one in power has paid any price, while ordinary citizens still face the consequences. COVID taught the system how far compliance could be pushed. The lesson was not forgotten. The same networks, the same media concentration, and the same institutional reflexes continue. Shared culture, equal standards, and results that actually matter are treated as optional or even suspect. How do you teach grandchildren honesty, responsibility, and respect for the country when the official message is that those expectations only apply to some people? When the government and media enforce one set of rules on the historic population and look the other way for others? This is not compassion. It is the slow dismantling of the conditions that made a first-world country possible. Equal rules, genuine assimilation, and measurable results are not hate. They are the minimum required for a society to function. Heads need to come out of the sand. The longer we pretend the narrative is reality, the less of the old Canada will be left to pass on.
