BREAKING: Donald Trump is hit with a brutal Friday bombshell as lawyers from the prominent conservative Federalist Society publish a paper declaring that Trump MUST be banned from running for president “under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.” But it gets WAY worse for Trump… In their brutal paper, the Federalist Society accuses Trump of treason for “engaging in or gave aid and comfort to an insurrection against the constitutional government” when he incited the deadly January 6 insurrection as part of his failed coup attempt. Adding insult to injury for Trump, the Federalist Society argues that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment — known as the insurrection clause — is "self-executing, operating as an immediate disqualification from office, without the need for additional action by Congress. It can and should be enforced by every official, state or federal, who judges qualifications. It covers a broad range of former offices, including the presidency. And in particular, it disqualifies former President Donald Trump, and potentially many others, because of their participation in the attempted overthrow of the 2020 presidential election.” The clause states that "no person shall be a senator or representative in Congress, or elector of president and vice president, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof." Last September, a New Mexico judge ordered the removal of a county commissioner who took part in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. The decision marked the first time since 1869 that a court disqualified a public official under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. Now, it appears that it may be used against Trump — the mastermind who orchestrated the insurrection. We’re living in a very unstable moment; things are going to break one way or the other. They’re either going to break in the direction of greater justice of democracy, or they will break in the direction of authoritarianism and dystopia. Voting for a normalcy that no longer exists, trying to keep the lid on it in the face of all the rumbling underneath the surface, pretending things are basically okay & we just need to keep tweaking things - all of that will only serve to tip us further in the wrong direction. We will either try to make things radically better, or they are going to get radically worse.

BREAKING: A terrified Donald Trump sends an accidentally hilarious email to his supporters warning them that he could face up to 561 years in prison thanks to the new Justice Department indictments — making it clear that he sees the writing on the wall. This is just TOO perfect... In the email in question, Trump accused "Crooked Joe's DOJ" of having "unlawfully INDICTED" him but of course provided no evidence to back up his claims of illegality. The truth is that there is nothing "unlawful" about the Justice Department prosecuting crimes. It is, in fact, their entire job. BREAKING: Republicans suffer an absolutely crushing defeat in New York as an appeals court orders the state's congressional map to be redrawn — siding with Democrats in a case could result in as many as SIX House seats flipping red to blue. But the news gets even worse for Republicans... Thanks to the judge, the Democratically-controlled State Legislature will get final say over the shape of New York's House seats for the remainder of the decade, a long time to solidify power. The current Congressional district lines drawn before the ruling were put in place by a "neutral" appointed expert specifically to maximize competition in elections despite no indication that that's what voters want. The "neutral" map ultimately helped Republicans flip four seats to seize control of the House. Among those expected to lose their seats under the new map is MAGA Congressman and pathological liar George Santos. Republicans are insisting that they will appeal the decision, but it looks increasingly hopeless for them. This ruling can be viewed as part of a much larger pattern of defeats the Republicans have been racking up over the past year. Several of their state parties are completely broke and the party's leader Donald Trump looks destined for prison. Serves them right for embracing fascism and trying to overthrow our democracy.
