Jesus is with you. I’m praying for you with no expectation in return. ✠ my prayers will be there. always and forever. -Cxavier.edu/jesuitresource… United StatesJoined November 2024
Trapped in a nightmare of a tiny studio. I couldn’t cook, uncomfortable, could barely breathe. It’s a blessing to be out of there.
Day 2 - learning to cook
Attempt at a taste of home.

7/ Lord, help us create spaces where truth breathes. Guard our hearts from fermenting stories. Teach us to break bad patterns and build ones rooted in Your love. Real connection starts here.
✠ C
6/ Real love stays in hard talks without burning bridges. It guards earned trust and offers mercy. Depth grows here—in courage and Christ-like regard, not shallow comfort.
1/ Crucial conversations—high stakes, strong emotions, clashing views—shape relationships more than most things. Creating safety isn’t weakness. It means others can speak honestly without attack or shame. Truth flows when fear leaves.
The problem isn’t seed oils or Red 40.
It’s the death of meaning. And until we face that, nothing else is going to fix our health or happiness.
The real question isnt what poisons we should remove in our food...it's how we became a culture that’s okay feeding people this garbage in the first place.
It’s because we live in a world that’s lost all sense of the sacred.
We don’t see humans as souls anymore...just machines to profit from.
Meaning is essential, but it's been gutted from our society, with everything central turned into a fake alternative...
Nature --> apartment buildings.
Community --> social media.
Sex --> porn
Marriage --> hookups
Real food --> packaged crap
Religion --> politics.
We’ve swapped the things that made life rich
for things that make us hollow
And now people are walking around with massive holes inside them, trying to fill it all with money, junk food, hookups, and empty pleasure.
So we get business execs chasing profit like it’s God,
doing whatever it takes to squeeze a little more margin out of human misery.
And consumers numbing themselves with whatever’s cheap and easy just to feel something.
If we actually want to make this country healthy again,
we need more than a ban on Red 40.
We need to re-enchant life.
We need to remember that our bodies are sacred.
That the earth is sacred.
That our work matters.
That we are all connected.
What you do to another, you do to yourself. Poisoning someone else always comes back around.
Health starts there. Not with better labels, but with meaning.
8/ Arrival looks like a branch so united to the Vine that fruit comes naturally, without force. It sounds like “not my will, but Yours.” A man still on the way, yet already tasting the rest that Jesus promised. Lord, bring us closer
✠ C
7/ I am not there. I stumble daily. But I recognize the sound when I hear it. Steady, low, anchored. A voice that has been refined by fire and now carries something of the Shepherd’s own tone—gentle with the wounded, firm with what destroys.
1/ Arrival. I don’t claim to have reached it. Far from it. But I’ve glimpsed enough to know it doesn’t look like loud certainty or perfect answers. It looks quieter. More like a man who has been emptied and filled again by something far bigger than himself.
2/ I can feel Jesus’ tears roll off his cheek and hit the dirt watching us hanging from the cross as we strive to be validated by sinful things— when we already have been chosen but choose otherwise. We choose to crucify him again and again and again. I’m guilty, I also recognize
9/ I mention converts because they know what it’s like to not have the tools, they’re seeking not nominally traditional or “this is what my family does” they sought truth from hell on earth with no guidance. It’s not a knock it’s what I’ve discerned. 2x my age men agree.
✠ C
8/ Christ did not send polished talkers first. He sent those who walked with Him, were broken and remade by Him. That pattern remains. Depth does not come from distance. It comes from abiding. Most “love” today stays too shallow to split the earth in two
1/ Hard for me to fully receive guidance and advice from one not attending Mass. It’s not judgment—it’s discernment. I know I don’t have it all figured out, far from it, but I’ve wrestled enough to sense the difference in depth.
