@ALucieSmith Sorry, Father, but that is wrong. For an accused, anonymity usually only applies until charge. Sometimes, more complainants come forward which can assist the Crown’s case, just as the reverse can be said to assist the Defence.

@Joanna__Hardy @ShipleyWrites More (complex) legislation. More offences. More evidential inferences. Much more complex legal directions needing prep and discussion in advance and printing. A desire to charge every possible offence. Pre-recorded evidence in chief. More offenders so more to be sentenced.
