And in any event, (a) when a country wins a defensive war and takes territory it’s their territory legally, and (b) Israel has tried to give it up for peace to no avail.

@RedOxiOxi @loonyberg @jacobkornbluh And 20 percent of Israel’s population is of arab ethnicity. Most of Sweden’s non Swedes are from Finland and Poland. Most countries include multitudes; people move around. My point is that Israel is no more an ethnostate than most other countries.

@loonyberg @jacobkornbluh Yeah, put a democracy under constant stress and bad things can happen. See, e.g., Trump. But at least in Israel they have actual elections and minorities have actual rights. Not so anywhere else in the Middle East.
