The $NBIS shakeout from $290 to $180 was exactly the kind of move that tests conviction and forces weak hands out. When institutions are investing billions based on a company's long-term prospects, yet retail investors with tiny positions are selling on baseless FUD, it's easy to see why so many never build lasting wealth. I've said it countless times: I won't begin taking profits on my $NBIS position until $1,000. Anything less, in my view, is selling too early. Selah.

Here is a shower thought on the current $NBIS price action. It looks like conspiracy on paper but the underlying mechanics show a textbook supply shock tied directly to the March offering. The fundamental catalyst from Leopold Aschenbrenner taking a gigantic position combined with the Nasdaq 100 inclusion forced massive buying in June. This liquidity wave pushed the stock past the 234.40 USD threshold. We then perfectly fulfilled the exact time criteria dictated by the offering we did in march by holding above that level for the required number of days. The countdown finished precisely on June 30 right at the end of the quarter. Then on July 1 the conversion window opens and we immediately see a sudden 6.9 million short volume spike. This is pure delta hedging. Institutions shorted exactly what they were owed to lock in profits while waiting for the converted shares to clear. On that exact same day the negative Meta news drops and hits the timeline providing the perfect bearish cover story. Weird timing right. This perfectly explains the immense put wall sitting at 180 USD. The conversion price is exactly 180.31 USD. Institutions built a defensive wall right at their cost basis. As the price drops market makers are forced to sell to hedge dragging the price right to that 180 USD anchor. Why did management let this happen you ask? Nebius used the Nasdaq liquidity window to wipe billions in liabilities off the books and eliminate future cash payout risks. Most importantly it permanently removes the arbitrage ceiling that existed while hedge funds shorted against those bonds. Combined with the sudden absence of passive index buyers the recent KOSPI weakness and the geopolitical uncertainty from the Iran news we have a perfect storm hitting the order book. The core AI infrastructure thesis remains unchanged. The market just has to chew through this forced equity injection. Long $NBIS
