How did Lenovo's AI Lab cut their cloud Agent's sandbox startup from 10s to under 100ms?
They migrated from Daytona to CubeSandbox — and got more than speed: self-hosted deployment, an adapter-layer migration strategy, and a sandbox that evolved from disposable tool container to a stateful runtime with snapshot & rollback.

New on the Cube blog: how Lexmount put a browser runtime inside an agent sandbox👉cubesandbox.com/blog/posts/202…
Lexmount's Insight Flow runs a full browser as an agent execution environment — that means the sandbox needs real internet access, stable startup under batch load, dynamic state injection, and trustworthy capacity signals.
Four hard requirements, four real problems hit in production, four real fixes — gateway MAC misresolution on multi-neighbor NICs, startup-order race between network-agent and Cubelet, env vars lost to the snapshot-restore path, and phantom capacity readings from mock metrics.

Noticed last week that Cube Sandbox landed in crabbox as one of its providers.
crabbox is OpenClaw's remote test execution control plane — warm a box, sync the diff, run the suite — already wired to E2B, Modal, Cloudflare and more.
One more backend to switch to when running agent/code tests. PR by @steipete , thanks👋
🎉 Cube Sandbox v0.6.0 is out
☸️ K8s deployment + 💾 Volume framework land — six core features go production-ready

📣 Cube 100 Founding Users Program is live.🚀
We're looking for the first 100 teams putting AI agents into production with Cube Sandbox — and we want you to tell that story.
If you're running Cube in production (or getting close), we'd love to co-write your case with you: 1:1 engineering support, official case page on our site, joint promotion, roadmap seat, and a speaker slot at the Global AI Infra OSS Summit.
Show your case. Tell your story! ➡️forms.gle/Wjy53fksUoc3y4…@tencentcloud@TencentAI_News@tenctcloud_Intl
🎉 CubeSandbox v0.5.1 is out — taking production-grade sandboxes one step further. This release ships three core updates:
🧩 Standalone Lifecycle Manager: AutoPause coordination logic is extracted from CubeProxy into a standalone control-plane service, enabling CubeProxy to scale horizontally across multiple replicas.
⏳ Tri-state Timeout Semantics: omit = cluster default, NEVER_TIMEOUT = never reclaim, 0 = reclaim immediately. E2B-aligned.
🔒 Host-Mount Whitelist: mount paths are restricted to a configurable prefix, blocking arbitrary bind-mounts.
Plus: a new Node.js/TypeScript SDK (preview) and a fix for the ARM64 64KB-page snapshot issue.
Update and give it a try!

🚀 CubeSandbox v0.5.0 is out
From "runs" to "production-ready" — four pieces in place:
🌙 AutoPause|idle sandboxes auto-snapshot and stop; resumed in tens of ms; node-level knob trades off recovery headroom vs. scheduling density
🦾 ARM Native|joint Enablement with Arm — PIO→MMIO, SeaBIOS→UEFI, no emulation layer
🏗️ Terraform Cluster Deploy|one bundle + create.sh → managed TKE + cloud MySQL/Redis + CFS multi-replica HA
🔒 Network Hardening|inbound per-sandbox token auth + outbound policy routing

@huang_chao4969 This is an excellent open-source project. I noticed it adopts Cube Sandbox. Looking forward to more future collaborations to jointly build the open-source community😁
🚀 CubeSandbox v0.4.0 is out
From "isolating agents" to "governing agents" — three production-grade pieces just landed:
🛂 Egress Governance|CubeEgress, an L7 security proxy with SNI/host/path/method/scheme rules + credential injection — your API keys never enter the sandbox.
🔭 Observability|dedicated vsock log channel breaks the MicroVM black box; one command tails everything.
📐 Consistency|node component version matrix + template compat checks — version drift has nowhere to hide.
⚡ Bonus: -41% network P99, peak build disk 4.2x → 1.2x.

That last question is the one we obsess over. Our bet: in the agent era, sandboxes stop being disposable scratch space and become stateful — save, fork, rewind. v0.3.0 is our first step. The 70ms snapshot & 99.5% less I/O aren't the point — they're what make "treat state as a first-class primitive" actually practical. What would you build if every agent had a save button? 👇
Your AI agent just nuked its own sandbox? Cool — blink, and it's back to the moment before things went sideways.
A month ago Tencent Cloud open-sourced Cube Sandbox, a microVM-isolated runtime for AI agents. Today's update lands the trio we're most excited about: snapshot, clone, rollback — essentially a time machine and a clone trick for your agent.
Checkpoint when the sandbox is healthy, let the agent do whatever, rollback to rewind on failure, or clone to fan out dozens of fully-isolated copies in seconds. Sub-100 ms rollback, dozens of clones in seconds. Same sandbox_id — the agent just keeps going.
Shipping alongside it: a "Lobster" WebUI that turns checkpoint timelines, time-travel, and one-to-many cloning into a few mouse clicks.
Coming next: built-in high-performance content-aware network control and credential vaulting — so you don't just isolate where the agent runs, you control what it can reach.
E2B-compatible. Self-hostable on a normal CVM. ⭐ if it helps. github.com/TencentCloud/C…
