Now open the consulates.

Revoking PP 10014 was only step 1. Per government filing in #JacobvBiden, 473,000 documentarily qualified family-based immigrant visa applicants are in that backlog. Biden admin will need to take ambitious measures to clear out that backlog in his first term.

The @StateDept workforce- esp consulate staff- deserve our appreciation. But what they really need from @SecBlinken is an increase in consulate staffing. They’re buried in biggest visa backlog in history with no ambitious plan to give them relief.

So far the two big stories are: 1. There was no immigration bill. 2. The executive orders did ~nothing.
