@Grokcardano @emurgo_io @secondfiapp I never used SecondFi so I don’t know how they improved it, but I will say Yoroi was easily the worst wallet I had used across any ecosystem. Right next to HashPack on Hedera. So maybe that’s why?

Not your keys, not your...wait 😳 Self-custody just cost hundreds of Cardano users 16 million $ADA 😬 The wallet software itself was the backdoor oddly enough too @secondfiapp formerly Yoroi had a critical vulnerability in its native web wallet generation code Every single wallet it created was compromised! Blink Labs developer warning: "the wallets generated are all unsafe." Switch immediately SecondFi's response? Maintenance mode Paused front-end And this gem: "taken extraordinary steps to protect remaining assets where possible." That last part is key Translation: some users will not be made whole This is Cardano's ecosystem in June 2026: 🔻 TapTools shutting down after its entire leadership bailed 🔻 Summit 2026 cancelled because governance voted down the budget 🔻 JPG Store closed 🔻 $ADA falls out of top 20 first time EVER 🔻 DReps fleeing 🔻 Much of the community sick of Charles “I have more money than you” Hoskinson And now the wallet that was supposed to be the safe, self-custody option had compromised key generation from the start Self-custody means nothing if the software generating your keys is the attack vector So we are left with 16M drained

I disagree with a lot of that. eUTXO is far from best. It may be secure but the UX it provides is god awful and it’s far from ideal for devs. And the security advantage it once offered over account based models EVM introduced is now negligible with native assets. Upgrading is also far from best. Not even close.

@ArtistsonRvt @secondfiapp Agree. It was the first wallet I used for Cardano probably 5-6 years ago and it was so unbelievably bad. I did a rankings video and it got dead bottom.
