Seedream turned the car into an image. Seedance 2.0 got it moving. The rest is Seedance lite. None of that gave me the video though. It gave me pieces. The fun is in the edit. Speed ramps, where the smoke hits, how long you hold before the front end fills the frame. Thats the part that makes it feel like something and to me the most enjoyable. Generating got easy. What you do with the pieces after is still the whole job. Ran the models through OpenArt, still the one place I can test all of them without jumping between 10 platforms. The storyboard first, then what Seedance made of it. Eight panels of one continuous camera move. The guard spins his baton. That's the beat right before Frank takes him apart. Those red trails hanging in the air after each spin are motion energy arcs. Took a few tests to see how Seedance registered them, and drawing them on the board first is what made it read. AI is the camera. Direction is the film. One person, eight episodes. Seedance, Suno for score, cut and sound-designed by hand in Final Cut.

Seedance 2.0 vs Mini Same prompt. Same reference images. Same storyboard. Seedance 2.0 against Seedance Mini, run side by side. 2.0 took it. Better lighting, cleaner composition, more detail holding in the frame, and it kept Frank's face closer to the model sheet. Mini drifted cartoony where I needed graphic novel. I ran both in OpenArt without leaving the tab. Solo build, so I only get one shot at picking the right model. That's the whole reason I test them side by side. Frank crosses into Dunhollow. One scene using two different video gens. Keeping consistancy while using different video gens isnt easy. Each gen speaks a different language so the output can also be vastly different. For Frank Im mixing Seedance and Kling mostly. When mixing gens I find there is usually much more work needed in post. colour grading mostly and sometimes speed. Building an animated universe solo. Seedance + Kling for motion, Suno for score, cut and sound-designed by hand in Final Cut. Can you spot which is done in Seedance and which uses Kling? Created using @openart_ai #AIanimation
