Coulda also saved on a head of lettuce instead of pre shredded. Store brand chips. any meat cheaper than ground turkey. having a stocked spice cabinet instead of buying taco mix spice packets. I love when people complain about how unaffordable stuff is then you immediately see why with what they're buying.

You should have basically every spice in a taco seasoning pack in your cupboard as stand by, but let's pretend you're starting from nothing for purity of argument. - 2 packets of taco seasoning mix $1.14 But honestly, I'd go braised pork for much less than the beef and use the savings on some chili, garlic, oranges, and onions.

@SERobinsonJr Fashion doesn't need an update, it needs to go back. The fashion of the 1920s -1940s was timeless and still looks good to this day. The fashion of the 80s and 90s was.... in some ways questionable but it had its high marks. I honestly haven't seen anything worth a damn since.

this is without even mentioning you can actually SAVE money not using ground beef. Braised pork loin is honestly better and costs like 1/3 as much. You can get a pork loin at $1.98 per lb and some oranges and guajillo chilis. spend less and make nicer burritos than ground beef.

don't want to invest in an espresso maker? fair enough spend like $35 on a pour over pot and a basic stovetop gooseneck kettle. It's what most coffee enthusiasts actually prefer as the most direct representation of the coffee's flavor.

and I mean milk, espresso, honey, sugar, flavoring oils, the works everything. making a better cup of espresso then you can buy at Starbucks cost 1/5 as much.

Anything you order out as a base you know it was 1/3rd as much to make it. Thats at LOW margin restaurants. Where you don't pay for branding/experience. Inflation does hurt, but they were complaining 10 years ago about the same things. The core is irresponsible spending.

On January 15, 2025, Falcon 9 successfully deployed Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost Mission 1 and ispace’s RESILIENCE lunar landers on a trajectory to the Moon from pad 39A in Florida. For most of our missions, we plan a controlled deorbit of the Falcon second stage so it safely reenters over the ocean. For higher energy missions like those to a lunar transfer orbit, nearly all performance on the vehicle is devoted to successfully placing the payload in the intended orbit, and a controlled disposal maneuver is not always possible. We actively work to be as responsible as possible with hardware left in space to ensure space safety, including for more complex missions. In this case, over time, solar activity and gravity led the second stage toward the Moon. Impacts like this are rare, but they can happen with objects in these types of orbits, and we worked with NASA on the optimal disposal solution. Our focus remains on advancing reliable access to space while working toward even more sustainable operations with Starship in the future. As a fully reusable vehicle, Starship is designed to eliminate expendable upper stages entirely, reducing hardware left in orbit and enabling even more missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

Same thing when they complain that Starship development is costing tax payer money. One Google search should tell them Starship is being developed on internal revenue and ONLY the HLS upper stage is subsidized (and even that is fixed cost milestone based) but no, parroting uninformed hate is kinda their whole schtick.

That's not how being a commercial delivery platform works dumbass. They make very few payloads. Their literal job is to deliver OTHER people's payloads. That second stage delivered two lunar landers. Kinda why it was on a lunar intercept trajectory. Because it failed to deorbit after doing a TLI burn for two lunar landers. They've also delivered numerous deep space probes.
