@MitchellRenz365 I agree that we have had too many had re-trends. IMO Webb doesn’t have the experience but in this case that’s a good thing to have him grow with the team in this rebuild.

#RaiderNation the Raiders need to stay the course with @AntonioPierce We are forging iron right now and that takes time. Every season together Pierce, his staff and all of the players will grow and learn together and that is something that is so important when it comes to building a winning culture. You learn more from your failures and growth comes from applying what you learn and being able to see it through. These tough times help a locker room build strong connections. That won't happen if you have different people in the locker room every 36 months. We haven't won shit since the 1980s but we have this expectation that coaches need to win in the first season or second season. The idea that if we don't win right away they get fired, is the exact reason why we haven't won shit since the 1980s. We need to continue building with the same people because when we get to where I know we can go it's going to feel so good and we're going to remember these times. I get it as a fan base, and don't forget that Pierce is one of us, we have been through a long ass championship drought. That will never change if we keep doing the same shit over and over again and it's time to stop. To build a consistent winner you can't do it with a microwave dinner mentality. We are starting to put some ingredients together and it's time to let this group of men cook.

It must be made clear: The Raiders trading Davante Adams is not a ‘Same ol’ Raiders’ move. There’s plenty of reasons why moving on from Adams at this juncture makes sense. The real ‘Same ol’ Raiders’ move was giving a first and second-round pick for a 29-year-old WR with no plan. That is a move a team certain of themselves makes to leap to contention. The then-Raiders regime was so uncertain of who they were that they thought it best to give up on their QB/WR duo after less than one season. That’s the ‘Same ol’ Raiders’ move; blindly throwing darts at the board and hoping to get a bullseye. Fast forward to today, and the Raiders are building through youth again. The offense showcases Brock Bowers, Tre Tucker and Michael Mayer, all who’ve been a pro for less than two seasons. Even Jakobi Meyers is only 27 years old. On top of that, one must assume the Raiders aim to draft a quarterback at some point in the near future. The offense is young and therefore has ample time to build together as the years go by. At the age of 31, Adams is not at the stage of his career where waiting for years to go by benefits him. That doesn’t change the fact that Adams is a great wideout who will help any offense, however. The question then becomes, is it worth allocating the cap space for the soon-to-be 32-year-old Davante Adams who simply doesn’t fit into the Raiders’ timeline? That’s for Antonio Pierce and Tom Telesco to decide.
