@Dance7Rants Hahaha, I love all the kids but I ADORE acro and contortion so even outside of the show I would probably choose Lili, Eli is STUNNING though and deserves every success she has - and yes, Yolanda (And stacey) are both crazy dance moms😂🤷🏼♀️
@Dance7Rants I prefer lily, mainly just because I think she’s more passionate about what she does. We see Elli asking to mark and her mother yelling at her all the time. She doesn’t seem to have the same fire and determination she did before and honestly I think it shows on stage 🤷🏼♀️
@Inspire2Dance @Dance7Rants They’re all amazing dancers, but I do think it’s okay for people to have favourites and opinions! In saying I prefer Liliana as a dancer, that doesn’t mean I don’t like Eli, just that personally for me, I enjoy watching her more. And I think as long as your respectful it’s okay!
Our Halloween recital was LAST NIGHT and I’ve just spent the past hour listening to acoustic Christmas songs for the Christmas one.....ahh it just never ends😭😅

@atschmidt WOW. That’s a new low🤦🏼♀️ I’ve known teachers to give out full scholarships to make individual dancers transfer but never an outright rule😫

We are the teachers...if we have corrections to give your child we will. It is not your place as a parent to correct or discipline your child for how they’ve danced - that’s what you pay us to do.

@thebustedtoe @Judgydancemom That’s a great suggestion! I’ve only been teaching for 3 months, and the mothers hate it and are trying everything to get me out loll, good job I have an awesome SO who’s attitude is “I choose my teaching team, not the mothers”😂

@merflan2 Has your daughter told you her teacher said this? It’s so wrong for the teacher to be talking to other parents about your child🤦🏼♀️ However, I’d also be careful with other mothers because as a teacher I’ve had mothers make up things I’ve said to try and discredit me🤷🏼♀️

Times change - the class structure you used 3 years ago is not going to work the same now. It’s boring.
@Judgydancemom I mean we put the tick on, they don’t do it, and it’s often done subtlety with a moment of connection with the child so they know what they’re doing wrong. It’s what they do in UK schools, and even schools in america have things such as clipcharts etc that work in the same way.
Opinions Dance Teachers Please! In our studio we do red board/green board for behaviour management. Names go on with tallys etc. Today 7yo dancer was not dancing her normally ability...then starts crying (like sobbing) saying she has a really bad stitch that won’t go away. (1)
