The State Department said ​it takes "full responsibility" for "hastily" altering and then presenting a map of Africa at a global AIDS conference that mislabeled every single country it highlighted. An analysis by Reuters found a watermark in the map image that suggests it was made with OpenAI.

Trump’s EPA just decided that if a power plant exists solely to supply a data center, it is exempt from the Acid Rain Program. That means it no longer has to comply with the program’s limits on sulfur dioxide emissions, even though the pollution is exactly the same. Congress created the Acid Rain Program in 1990 because sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides don’t stay where they’re emitted. They travel downwind, fall as acid rain, damage lakes and forests, and worsen asthma in communities that may be hundreds of miles away. Nothing about that science changes because the electricity is sold to one customer instead of many. EPA is trying to create this exemption while avoiding Congress. But agencies cannot rewrite statutes by memo. If Congress intended to exempt privately dedicated power plants from the Acid Rain Program, we would have written legislation to do so. We most certainly have not. EPA is attempting to narrow a law Congress enacted without Congress’s approval. Courts should reject it, and Congress should make clear that clean air protections apply based on pollution, not on who buys the electricity. I have been called an alarmist and worse by well meaning people who want to think it will just all be ok. But it doesn't always end up ok and we can't pretend it will. Trump is targeting Black voters and women to rig this election. We need to stand up, call it out and act.

Difficult to describe in ordinary words or language just how corrupt Trump is and how unprecedented Trump's corruption is.

Last night, a Russian missile strike on Radushne in the Dnipro region killed parents and three children. Two more children were pulled alive from under the rubble. It was an ordinary home, blown into smithereens by a ballistic missile... Rescue efforts are also underway in Lviv at the site where a residential building was hit, with the rubble being cleared and the search for people continuing. So far, eight people have been reported killed across the country. My condolences to their families and loved ones... Dozens of people were injured, and everyone is receiving the necessary medical care. All the relevant services are involved. Kyiv and the region, as well as our Dnipro, Lviv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, came under attack overnight. Dozens of ordinary homes, civilian businesses, and infrastructure facilities were destroyed and damaged. More than 70 missiles were used in this strike, a significant number of them ballistic. There were also over 280 attack drones. More than 260 drones were intercepted. Our combat aviation shot down a significant number of cruise missiles, and even mobile fire teams managed to take on cruise missiles. Given the critical shortage of air defense missiles from our partners, our warriors are accomplishing truly incredible things, demonstrating a very high level of professionalism. This is extraordinary expertise that saves lives when air defense missiles are not provided, or deliveries are being slow walked. This Russian terror once again proves that protection against the Russian missile threat is the most important task when it comes to saving the lives of our people. And this is not a task that can be left to Ukraine alone or to any one country alone. All partners know how and with what they can help. Untimely assistance and delays in the delivery of anti-ballistic missiles lead to this kind of destruction, these kinds of casualties that, unfortunately, we are seeing today.
