@htmx_org Hits an important point in web development. Correctly points out the gravity pull of flexibility in the front end. After trying GraphQL, I agree that it is a rat hole. I didn't much like it. However, front end flexibility is just too good to give up on so quickly.

@JoshBathtub @Gremio5 @MLS There are no timeouts in soccer. Because you want to talk to the ref doesn't mean play has stopped to allow you to do so. The ref can stop play to have discussions. That's different. This one did not stop play for the conversation, it was Miami's ball, goal correctly stands.

@ChrisWalrus @MLS It's Miami's ball from the previous call. If Fontas tries to keep a hold of it to delay the restart he risks as warning and/or yellow.

@TaylorAP13 @MLS This is allowed by the laws of the game. The team given possession can perform the restart as soon as the call is made by the ref. It doesn't matter that the player is talking to the ref. They do not have a timeout, nor can they hold onto the ball without risking a yellow.

@CumiskeyJacob I also play Pioneer, and IMHO, it's a much more interesting card in that format. Does not die to push or shock, though the soonest you can get it down is T3. Not a wizard though, and that matters for prowess aggro decks in Pioneer.

@CumiskeyJacob I've played that archtype since before it hit mainstream. Though my lists differ from the main stream ones and don't include blue. It's not as powerful offensively as kiln fiend, and that's the only two drop I've ever considered running. It doesn't solve any of the decks issues

@CumiskeyJacob I write software professionally. There are always outside forces that effects your work, the nature of the world is exchange. However, the code scape is relatively stable, especially if you pick the right stack that's been around the block a few times.

@jon_stokes I always liked the nub. It lets you do a simple mouse operation without leaving the home rows. Which helps when your software isn't designed to be used with just keyboard operations. It stinks for complex mouse tasks though. Still need the mouse or trackpad.

@CumiskeyJacob Respect for your choice. I enjoy magic and even competition, but I don't like meta gaming or hyper spikes. I haven't made fnm or mtgo for going on 6 months now. The more important stuff is indeed more rewarding.

@jon_stokes I believe his point is the two things are not mutually exclusive. You can remove government crackdowns while encouraging self governing or nuanced policies that will create a softer economic landing and still keep a relatively low curve of cases.

@killersites I liked it when it worked. Mine always seemed to over both models I used, maybe I just had good luck with it.

@fed135 @rauschma Feathersjs isn't really comparable. I've used both Hapi and Express extensively over years. When I have control over the full stack I use Feathers on Express because of what it provides and the time it saves me. When I don't, I use the tool that fits the use case best.

@jon_stokes I see 62k psi and the round leaving the barrel at 3000 fps. That's pretty close to 5.56 specs. Seems like it should run similar to ARs currently on the market for barrel wear.

@CumiskeyJacob I looked at deprive. Seemed better than cryptic with mystic and I'm interested to hear it tested well. Not a lot of time for modern for me :)

@CumiskeyJacob @skull_badger I think the right direction is to go with cards targeted at the match up that generally fit the deck plan better (Entrancing Melody/Saheeli, Sublime Artificer/Pithing Needle/Pia and Kiran Nalaar). That's a lot of side board potential that it can eat up though. 2/2

@CumiskeyJacob @skull_badger I think Jund is a struggle because our threat density tends to be too thin to go up against their removal suite, card efficiency, and card advantage. We can increase our threat density to pound through their removal, but that generally isn't the deck's game plan. 1/2

@CumiskeyJacob Threat side is above curve but not available at instant speed, interaction is below rate. Having the two together is nice, but expensive in total. Comparable to electrolyze, which I think would be better most of the time. IMHO, one copy is as high as I would go.

@CumiskeyJacob Seems to me that Cascade Bluffs would be better than Sulfur Falls in the single non-island non-fetch slot. For the same reasons you were running it before, it's just better than sulfur falls at fixing your mana without pain.

@CumiskeyJacob Yeah, it's more of a loothouse that also taps for blue. But it lowers your island count which makes the new Island worse.
