MAJOR UPDATE: City Council removed REACH, the city's first pre-arrest diversion program, from a proposal that would have moved it into the Department of Corrections. This means REACH will remain in the Health Department 🎉 This happened because we organized and spoke up.

HAPPENING NOW: The KCMO City Council will vote on a plan to build a $25 million, 100+ bed "modular jail" ahead of the 2025 World Cup. This comes after community members rallied widespread opposition to the jail at Tuesday's Finance Committee meeting. Updates posted below ⬇️⬇️⬇️
