@BKsquared7 This is pretty accurate because it’s ranked by blitz rate. I was at the game like, Ulbrich not really blitzing a lot today. He tried to get home with 4 more than sending the blitz.

@BKsquared7 At least it’s limited…you have some players that are on DNP for groin or hamstring. That groin something to watch though

@sosavow Also analytically, QBs in the league across the board on average complete 40% to 50% of passes 20+ yards. It was never a high percentage to begin with. Stefanski’s system is very QB friendly so whoever is at QB just needs to help us win games.

@sosavow I will say this. Having AVP as QB coach is night and day better than whoever he had that was “helping” him develop. It was already said he came in the league with footwork issues and that should have gotten better.

@RiseUpReader @marcraimondi This is what I mean 6 of 12 for Tua is under 10 yds in the same spot. Penix is all over the field with his throws.

Here are passing charts for added context. Both QBs took sacks. Both worked with first-team offense. Tagovailoa threw an INT. Tagovailoa played a few more snaps than Penix — roughly 21 to 18. Collectively pretty even snap-count over last two days.

@RiseUpReader @marcraimondi Big difference is Mike isn’t scared takes his shots down field. These are hit or miss depending on coverage, receiver catching ability, and QB ball placement. Tua throws A LOT of check downs. Ones that play makers are more times than not going to catch and have YAC.

@BKsquared7 I guess that is Stefanski’s way of saying we are going to make sure we set the edges 🫡

@CarasikS People think it’s the end of the world and it’s not. We still have a great DC. Let’s say we do a way better job at getting home with 4 DTs this year. That edge problem won’t be as big. We definitely have backup/depth options.

@BKsquared7 We have a good bit of options left. Hence the depth Ian signed at LB. I think we will be ok. Production will be missed but some can still be gained back. Shoot if we are able to really get home with 4 DTs this season, we won’t have as large of an issue.

@BKsquared7 While Walker is a critical part of our defense, we do have some FAs who are now two years removed from injury and ready to prove a point. A good bit of them are linebackers and had production before the injury.
