Ignas @Defignas

You have once again entered the world of survival horror... RE1 Prequel ORIGINAL SIN: Prelude to Biohazard is ON SET!

@king97cade @BioDeclassified Because Capcom went through major issues at that time. The main writer that was building all those plot points in RE2, RECV, RE0, etc DIED and much of the staff left over corporate reasons around that time. Mikami remade RE4 from scratch and a new direction chosen.

@m3m3z90 @BioDeclassified Several of their members are in this. I think we are only missing 3 members of S.T.A.R.S. in the movie: Enrico, Richard, and Dewey. Stay tuned.

@johhme123 @JustinWhang I referenced some of the concwpt art for Original Sin. It was these pieces that helped inform the feel I wanted to give the project.

@DrewMcWeeny Are people still talking about that? The only way James Cameron ripped her off is if she invented time travel, too, considering she insisted she created it in the late 80's and Cameron wrote The Terminator in the early 80's.

EXCLUSIVE: First glimpse at our RE1 Prequel Film and some of the unfortunate monsters ahead… shooting starts NEXT WEEK. All practical, no CGI on this one! 🖼️ @SculptOrDie

@EvilStarLegacy I am supposed to tell you to finish #2.

Happy 25th Anniversary to Devil May Cry! It’s crazy to think that this game almost didn't exist, originally started development as an early prototype for Resident Evil 4. But when director Hideki Kamiya’s vision of a super-powered, sword-juggling protagonist in a gothic castle strayed a little too far from survival horror, Capcom made an amazing pivot for an entire new franchise! Here’s to 25 years of juggling enemies, eating pizza, and chasing that perfect SSS rank! What's your favourite memory of DMC?

@Astrocatical @jjfromroe @ROEnetwork @ckraslavsky @coryfromroe @one_big_boss @FeatureWeekend Correction: Charlie thought nothing came of BIOHAZARD, because he moved to the states and didn't realize it was called RESIDENT EVIL here.

Best known for his role as Reggie in the PHANTASM franchise, horror icon Reggie Bannister has passed away at 80. Don Coscarelli writes, "Reggie Bannister was a gifted creative collaborator, a dear friend & will be sincerely missed." Bannister starred in all 5 Phantasm films.

@Sombra1XX @BioDeclassified Because of scheduling the filming dates and the logistics involved, we won't be able to hold out for additional funds to film the original opening remake. We did, however, decide to recreate the cast intro including all the additional characters in the movie.

We did it. ORIGINAL SIN: Prelude to Biohazard is fully funded! I honestly can't thank this community enough for backing our cinematic prequel. Getting to return to the Arklay Mountains and tell this unseen story means everything to us, and you are the ones making it happen. SUCCESSFUL CROWDFUNDS OF THIS SIZE ARE IN THE LOW 1-9 %. WE CANNOT STRESS WHAT A FEAT THIS IS TO DO A THIRD TIME! Wrapping up at $155,125.79. That is over 155% funded by 635 backers, which allowed us to knock out 5 of our 8 stretch goals. Just amazing. So, what happens now? If you missed out on the initial campaign, don't worry, there will still be time to back perks. We are going to launch some special deals this August for late pledgers so you can still get in on the action. Right after that, it's time to get to work, we officially begin shooting in September! Keep an eye on the page for more updates as we move into production. We can't wait to show you what we're building.

Today is the LAST DAY to support our RE1 Prequel film before it closes! ✅ Acts as a feature length cinematic RE1 Prequel based on official Capcom literature. ✅Jill, Chris, Barry, Wesker and the STARS Members are included. ✅Practical effects only, with Cerberus, Zombies and others, by an SFX team who were students of Tom Savini ✅Production Crew of industry professionals, including apprentices of George A. Romero. ✅Made by fans, for fans, not for profit! ✅Shooting in September! NOW is the time to back if you are sitting on the fence - when the rewards are gone, they are gone! Thank you to EVERYONE who has backed to date. Let's end this on a high note!

@The_Howester @BioDeclassified We have plans for more films within that time frame, but whether we would ever do RE1 is kind of dependent on the fans, not us. It would take considerable money to do the first game.

NEW: Happy to confirm Brad Wakeman joins the cast as the elusive Umbrella company man MR JOHNSON, forming part of the wider conspiracy ending in the downfall of everyone’s favourite midwestern town. Welcome Brad to the team!

HUGE: Resurrection Producer and Writer @beggybeggbegg joins the Team as an Associate Producer! "For the past few months, as I've been wrapping up the writing of my own novella - for Resurrection: A Biohazard Story - with that same goal in mind, I've been happy to learn about and assist with our team's latest vision, which is shaping up to be something truly special. On a personal level, Original Sin: Prelude to Biohazard strikes me as a full circle return to how my journey with the Residence of Evil began in 2020, with my introductions to and analyses of both Biohazard: The Beginning and the first SD Perry RE novel, and the shared world-building elements between them. Now, with this opportunity to grant flesh and life to the original Biohazard: The Beginning novella via a cinematic adaptation, we can rediscover the roots of authentic RE stories. Classic characters, ensnared in the jaws of municipal evil, dare to challenge the dominant order, uncovering forbidden knowledge in the deep, dark underbelly of their city. They willingly clash with figureheads who've turned a blind eye to the realities of good and evil, burying them under sufficiently convincing images of each. It's a premise that undergirds the very foundation of RE, and therefore, a story that ought to be told in a more evocative capacity: on the big screen. It implores various creatives of all types, with faces new and familiar, to spread their wings and hone their talents. Thank you all dearly for enabling us to do so once again!" We are grateful and bless to have Beggy on the team!

400+ BACKERS! We honestly can't thank you enough. Over 400 people have already backed ORIGINAL SIN: Prelude to Biohazard, and we're incredibly grateful for every one of you. With just over 20 days remaining, we're heading into the final chapter of the campaign. Every new backer helps us unlock stretch goals that will directly enhance the film and push the project even further. If you've been waiting to jump in, this is your reminder that campaign-exclusive rewards and some stretch goals are only available until the campaign ends. Once they're gone, they're gone. If backing isn't possible right now, sharing the campaign with another Resident Evil fan helps more than you know! Let's see what we can achieve together over these final days.

@BBW_BFF Sam achieved that shot by smoking a cigarette and blowing the smoke around prior. There's some BTS footage of him doing it. The film is great at showing how to make an effective film with almost no money.
