When you stop by the gun store. When you pick your children up from school. Across Kentucky, Flock cameras are quickly expanding their reach. These automated surveillance systems record the license plate of every passing vehicle and create a searchable record of where law-abiding Kentuckians travel every single day. No warrant. No probable cause. Just the constant surveillance of innocent Kentuckians. That is why I introduced HB 375 to ban Flock cameras and every similar surveillance system that threatens the privacy and freedom of Kentuckians last session, and will continue to protect your Fourth Amendment rights from any unwarranted spying. Technology changes, our rights don’t. But I need your help before we get to Frankfort. Sign the petition to show your support for privacy rights! The Fourth Amendment was written to protect us from unreasonable government searches and surveillance. The Founding Fathers understood that a free people should not have to live under the government's constant surveillance every time they leave their homes. But look at where we are headed… Once your movements are recorded, they can be stored for months or even years. They can be shared with other agencies and searched whenever government officials decide they want to know where you have been. I refuse to accept a future where the government can quietly build a record of your daily life without your knowledge or your consent.
