What % of capex is for core vs MSL? 100% of FCF into capex on a multi year horizon, with unclear ROI. News of avacado delay, seemingly lots of spaghetti at the wall in AI. This could be Reality Labs on steroids. That's a bear case. I don't agree - I'm a bull too! but that doesn't mean the stock can't halve... Gotta willing to hodl through another 2022 drawdown...

It's genuinely insane how much progress biotech has made in the last 90 days: - Two years ago I watched Lucy Therapeutics shut down after 7 years and $42M from Bill Gates, never reached human trials. Last month DeSci crowdfunded €2.5M in 72 hours for Dr Barbacid cancer trials and went straight to human trials. Zero VCs and zero committees in the middle. And it's not even about the money. The goodwill - Gene therapy cost $2-4M per treatment a year ago because manufacturing was artisanal and nobody was actually solving it. Now automation's dropping costs toward $200. Turns out it was an engineering problem all along. - Just a year ago, the FDA wouldn't touch longevity. In January 2026, first FDA-approved human trial reversing cellular age launched (ER-100). We're testing age reversal in humans right now. Not mice. - Psychedelics stuck in regulatory hell for 50 years. In February 2026, Compass crushed Phase III for psilocybin in treatment-resistant depression. - In 2023, AI drug discovery was hype. $17B got invested, zero approved drugs. Early 2026, Ginkgo x OpenAI ran over 200k autonomous experiments, 36K of those were unique. Protein costs dropped by 40% and they're already shipping commercially. Discovery timelines collapsed. - Just last year, FDA required full GMP pre-Phase 2, moved at 1950s speed. This quarter,we're fast-tracking frontier therapies, relaxing requirements, launching pilots. Something shifted and the regulatory wall is cracking. - In 2024, clinical trials had to run in US at 2x cost, half the speed. Right now in Singapore and China running trials 50% cheaper, 2x faster. Companies routing around FDA entirely. The US model is optional. I could keep going on with these, but you realize that the bottleneck was never the science. It was funding models, regulatory speed, manufacturing, geography etc And most of them are breaking since last October. Biotech has shed 30 years of broken infrastructure in 5 months and I can't be more bullish. bio/acc.

Have you considered another possibility: China's/Huawei's AI chip propaganda appears to be working - they're probably going to get H200s, a ~6x boost to h20s which are still the best chips they have. Huawei's 910C/Ds hardware specs are are okish, but don't work well (software) and China seemingly lacks any ability to manufacture them at scale. They have no ability to compete in AI, esp. as Rubin comes online at scale in the West. And yet, China's playing Huawei's chips up as alternatives to NVDA. So perhaps the same strategy for EUV. Claim to be making major progress with the hope of accessing the tech. Bluffing well.

@Brad_Setser @neither_us Is there not done hedging activity here too? Foreign investors hege currently risk out from USD investments. So when eg equities fall, they are over hedged and so must rebalance, and in effect buying USD. This is a massive market?

These guys have been permabulls in $INTC. They thought Gaudi would beat the h100. So take this bias into consideration. It does not mean their analysis here is incorrect - backside power does reduce power use, and could be useful for monolithic chip production + 18A is focussed in this direction over chiplets and mobile.

Intel $INTC BoD reportedly wants to sell off the company to unlock (likely one-time) shareholder value. IMHO the stock would go up if this board resigned. Who is on your dream team Intel board (realistic possibilities only) & where would the share price be if it happened?

Before hiring a new CEO, what Intel needs most right now is the complete physical removal of every member of its board of directors, with a special emphasis on its current chairman, who definitely needs to be kicked out by internal security.

Not true. AWS inclusldes all their PaaS/SaaS offerings, including SageMaker, redshift (and all 30 other databases they have), etc. Comping AWS to Azure is not LFL. A fairer comp would be Microsoft Commercial cloud, which includes Azure + MSFT PaaS/SaaS services. In that case, Microsoft has the bigger cloud ($170bn vs $108bn in 2024). And yes it's growing faster too (about 24% vs 19%)
