Dr. Ebrahimi participated in #TAMEST2026 in San Antonio as a Protégé and presented: “Decoding HIV and Cancer Mutation Disparities Using Integrative Computational and Experimental Biology.” Engaging discussions with leaders across science and engineering. 🔬🧬
Congrats to Dr. Mohadeseh Soleimanpour from the Diako Lab for receiving an internal grant at Texas Biomed! Her work will develop computational methods to detect viral presence in tumors and reveal how viruses shape tumor progression using single-cell and bulk expression data.

At the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Retroviruses 2025 meeting, Armando Mendez gave a poster presentation and Dr. Diako Ebrahimi gave a talk over the current HIV research in the lab. Over the course of 5 days, many different labs shared their research on HIV.
