I knew the piece was being destroyed and that this day would eventually come. Thankfully, Ralph managed to save a few pieces before the excavator finished the job, and today he sent me this video. Seeing the footage still made me smile. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the pieces that were saved. Earlier this year, I painted this piece inside an abandoned factory in Steinhausen. The building once belonged to Crypto AG, a Swiss company that for decades was a global leader in encryption technology. From this site, secure communication devices were manufactured and sold to governments around the world. Years later, it was revealed that the company had secretly been controlled by foreign intelligence agencies, with hidden vulnerabilities built into its machines. The revelation became one of the most significant intelligence scandals of modern times, shaking trust in international diplomacy and raising serious questions about secrecy, power, and Swiss neutrality. Now the factory is being demolished, and with it, the mural disappears. There’s something fitting about a temporary artwork ending in a place that held so many hidden stories.

Tonight we light up our city! A collab between DOES and Bart Otto from PIQXELS. As part of the Spectaculo festival and in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Sittard-Geleen, we are transforming the façade of the Old Town Hall into a large-scale, living story. Together with the local historical society, we delved deep into the city’s archives. Still black-and-white photographs from the past have been brought to life in vibrant color and motion, interwoven with the visual language of artist DOES. The result is far more than a projection. The building itself tells the story: from the soil where it all began, through the work, the people, and the celebrations, to the city as it stands today. Past and present flow seamlessly into one another, perfectly synchronized with music and imagery. An evening filled with recognition, pride, and wonder—for those who were born here, those who live here, and anyone who holds the city close to their heart. From the ground we came. Toward tomorrow we go.

Le Raizet, Guadeloupe for Wallfest 🇬🇵 Inspired by the colors and atmosphere of the island, and memories from an earlier visit. Beige represents the sand, turquoise the water, and yellow the ever-present sun. The piece grows upward from the ground, with my letterforms gradually becoming more abstract along the way. I intentionally left open spaces to balance the busier sections with moments of calm, reflecting both the landscape of the island and the rhythm of the experience itself.

EXHIBITING AT THE NEW MEDIA MOMENT IN TIMES SQUARE, NEW YORK This May, I had the opportunity to participate in The New Media Moment, an international digital art exhibition presented across the iconic urban screens of Times Square in New York City. Held from May 13–15, 2026, the exhibition transformed one of the world’s most recognizable advertising landscapes into a platform for artistic experimentation and contemporary digital culture. Presented daily at 1 Times Square, the project brought together artists working across video, animation, AI-generated art, computational media, and other emerging digital practices. What made this exhibition particularly significant was its engagement with public space. In a location typically defined by commercial messaging and constant visual stimulation, artistic works temporarily occupied the monumental LED displays, creating moments of reflection, disruption, and dialogue within the urban environment. The project explored how digital art can interact with contemporary media infrastructures and reshape the way audiences experience public space. Curated by an international committee of respected curators, directors, and cultural innovators, The New Media Moment featured a diverse selection of artists from around the world, reflecting the growing global conversation around technology, creativity, and new forms of visual expression. Being part of this exhibition was an exciting opportunity to present my work within a truly international context and to see it displayed at a scale unlike any traditional gallery setting. Times Square, often described as a global crossroads of culture and communication, provided a unique backdrop for exploring the possibilities of digital art in the public realm. I am grateful to Art Innovation and the curatorial team for including my work in this ambitious project, and I am honored to have exhibited alongside such a talented group of artists from across the globe.
