Peter Obi: Subsidy Should Be Domiciled in the Agricultural and Manufacturing Sectors The subsidy regime in Nigeria emerged amid corruption and criminality. Removing those two factors will give us a clearer picture of whether we actually need subsidies. I believe if we tackle corruption, we might not need subsidies at all. The price of petrol in Nigeria is high. We should ensure a regular supply of crude to local refineries so they can refine it for domestic consumption. That will invariably reduce the cost of fuel. That guy just keeps buying new planes anytime he feels bored. This aircraft- Bombadier Global Express 7500 (5N- FGY) is another addition to the Presidential Air Fleet. Tinubu has spent less than 4 years in office but has acquired two new planes for himself and his cronies but he will tell Nigerians to endure the pains of his reform. Funny thing is all these acquisitions are under the radar- zero noise!
