A couple years back I told you about this grave I visit that belongs to Edna Desolia. When she died, her family put her facing into the woods, on the boundary of the cemetery in a much older section of the cemetery that was old even when she died so the family must not have wanted people to see her grave. I know graves of people who died by suicide were turned to face west or placed outside the cemetery boundary to show social stigma. I said how bad I felt about her and you guys who understand genealogy were able to find info about her for me, she was a young mother and wife who took cyanide and spent 4-5 days in the hospital dying of cyanide poisoning. When I go for a walk I try to visit her grave and pay my respects because I feel so bad for her to have died like that and then be buried like that. In the pictures you can see what I’m talking about.

She was sent to hospice to die. 😔 A 60-something woman from Nebraska. Stage 4 lung cancer. Both lungs. Bones. Inoperable. Originally diagnosed in 2020. Chemo. Radiation. 18 months of remission. Then it came back. Aggressive. Metastatic. Everywhere. She tried Keytruda – didn't work. Then carboplatin and Alimta – toxicity after the first cycle. Her oncologist said: "There's nothing left." Hospice. That was the plan. Her daughter refused to accept that. She reached out to me. Desperate. Scared. Looking for anything.
