Let’s put it this way Tony, Zynga is a 1000% worse abomination of the game of poker than 6:5 is of BJ. As an actual poker player, stay far away. It’s “free” so long as you only want to play a few hands per week, and enjoy spinning slot machines and watching endless ads. Apart from that their shtick is getting you to PAY for their “free” chips, and then utilizing forced stakes, legions of bots, and rigged gameplay to do everything they possibly can to take it all from you and have you buy again. Virtually all “free” poker apps are this way as far as I’ve found. Zynga is just king. If there’s one that’s not I would love to know about it. It’s sad that they all think this is the only way.

Just for fun-sies, let’s do a #POKER scenario: Player 1 - Has $20m, goes all in Player 2 - Has $2m, calls, also goes all in Player 3 - Has $30m, folds In #POKER, the pot becomes $4m —- as only $2 of the $20m was called Even at #Zynga‘s LUDICROUS 14% rake rate: Player 1 should get his $18m returned, PLUS —— $3.4m after rake, if he should win —— putting him at $21.4m IN FACT —— in #POKER the $18m is returned ——— get this —- BEFORE THE HAND IS EVEN COMPLETED But get THIS —- #ZyngaPoker includes the $18m that is —- NOT EVEN IN THE POT -— in their rake calculation. Even if Player 1 WINS, his $20m stack at the end of the hand —- becomes $18.7m. He WON THE HAND and now has LESS MONEY!! And —- A LOT LESS! —- Isn’t that neat. Psst…@zyngapoker: THAT’S NOT HOW A RAKE WORKS. And you know it. Eliminate this single blatant scam out of all the ones you have, and it might be just a bit less obvious that you’re scummy. I mean, come on, it’s bad enough that you even take a rake in the first place. Nevermind that it’s an outlandish 14%. But this here is just over the top. *slow clap* So let’s be real, with this “fair gaming experience” bullcrap, you continue to over-estimate how many people are entirely stupid. We see thru you. It should be possible to be profitable without your various nefarious tactics. In fact, I’d posit perhaps even MORE profitable. Many paying and potential customers walk away from #ZyngaPoker because of things like this. Especially when on top of it, you try and act like you’re saints with this sort of response to being called out. Insult to injury. Because you well know this rake example isn’t even the start of it. @zyngapoker Be better.

I get it. Just want you to keep liking baseball. In that case, just so you’re prepared, they had close to the worst record in baseball history last year. Don’t expect this to improve in the next few years either, if ever. I’m not exaggerating. But if losing doesn’t phase you, the good news is that they play the Dodgers a lot and you will get to watch Ohtani.

I wake up to a shitload of people ruing the Dodgers for "breaking" baseball when they have broken no rules. As weird as it sounds, I don't blame the Dodgers for the rot in baseball. I blame the Twins. The team that did jack shit for two straight years after their best season in decades, nuked the team from orbit due to inexplicably being $425 million in debt, then had ownership pat itself on the back and say they weren't selling the team at all. I blame the Athletics. Sandbagging for years to get out of Oakland, using that city as a springboard to become a soulless tourist trap in Las Vegas, play in a minor league stadium for several years, then immediately spend the most they've ever done on a free agent once they moved. I blame the Marlins. Who, despite an admittedly impressive season, have blown up the franchise five times in thirty years. I blame the Pirates. An ineptly run shitpile featuring completely unnecessary scandals involving a Clemente wall decal and Bucco Bricks found in a landfill. I blame the Rockies. The nepo team built on incompetence and one gigantic bar disguised as a stadium. The ones who wisely spent their money on an oft-injured Kris Bryant (after paying $50 million to make their franchise face at the same position go away). I blame the Angels. A franchise that exists to waste generational talents and is so deathly afraid of the luxury tax they'll do anything to avoid it. And there's more too. No, the Dodgers aren't a primary cause of baseball's rot. They're merely a symptom.
