I used to be a regular customer of "Boots Hearing Care" online shop (shop.bootshearingcare.com) but for the last 2+ years(!) I've received a consistent error when clicking "Proceed to payment" - it just says "Ooops" or "504 Gateway Time-out" regardless of machine/browser!? @BootsUK

What if your browser tabs were all NEXT TO each other instead of BEHIND each other? And what if you always saw the mobile version in those tabs?

@HMRCcustomers Thanks, yes, I "eventually" managed to get verified using that method. It took two attempts with different providers and problems with it "timing out" - a painful experience I must say!
@HMRCcustomers I get the message "We cannot confirm your identity" when attempting to login to my "personal tax account" using my Government Gateway ID. How should I proceed?
@HMRCcustomers My father is due a tax refund, but regardless of whether I use /p800refund or login via the homepage I get the same message. I seem to login and get sent my "access code" OK.
