@jbcarmody I’m not sure taking night call as a medical student made me a better doctor today. It certainly did in residency and fellowship. That being said, it should not be eliminated from med school. Some balance is warranted though.

Thank you @davidasinclair, very insightful. In chronic cases of aortic aneurysm or dissection, we need new solutions aside from cardiovascular risk optimization, angiotensin II inhibitors, and beta blockers. As cardiologists we do have screening and surveillance mechanisms in place; however the rate of acute dissections or ruptures remains high. Somewhat skeptical of the leap from bench to bedside for the application of NAD here, but certainly worth more research!
