The 142 race-based laws in South Africa are not there to redress the injustices of the past. If that were the case why, after 31 years, do we have: - More people in poverty now than in 1994 - More people jobless than in 1994 - More crime than in 1994 - More inequality than in 1994 After 31 years of attempting redress through race-based laws, don't you think it's time to try something else that isn't based on race but perhaps economic standing?
