What you’re hearing isn’t music… it’s billions of galaxies echoing across space and time 🌌
🚨 You’re not the same person you were 10 minutes ago.
Your body is constantly regenerating itself. New cells are made, and old ones are discarded.
Every 7 to 10 years, you get a completely new body with new sets of organs and tissues. Your stomach regenerates itself every 4 days. The stomach cells that help you digest food are replaced every 5 minutes.
You get a new liver every 150 days. The entire outer layer of your skin, called the epidermis, replaces itself every 4 weeks. Your pancreas, which helps regulate your blood sugar level, is renewed every 50 days.
And every 4 months, you get a new set of red blood cells across your entire body. Even after you donate blood, it would only take 12 weeks to completely replace the red blood cells you donated. Your taste buds that help you enjoy a variety of foods are replaced every 10 days. Although cells are always regenerating, the process can be slow for some parts. Bones, for instance, require up to 10 years to fully regenerate.
As we age, bone regeneration slows down and our bones become weaker. Despite this incredible regeneration capacity of the human body, some parts of your body are never replaced, such as the cells that make up the inner lens in your eyes and the neurons in your cerebral cortex.
Fat can also accumulate and stick around depending on your diet and physical activity. Even though everything in your body is replaced, the only thing that remains of you is your consciousness, self-awareness and memories. As I said, your taste buds are replaced every 10 days, but the memory of the delicious food you tasted before is still there, and new taste buds are ready to experience it.
Earth’s precise planetary tilt may be the reason it can host life.
Planets don’t just spin — they lean. This tilt, or “axial tilt,” dramatically shapes a planet’s climate, weather patterns, and seasonal behavior.
Earth’s 23.26° tilt is the reason we experience seasons. But other planets take it to extremes: Uranus is tilted nearly 98°, rotating almost entirely on its side, leading to seasons that last decades. Venus spins in the opposite direction with a tilt of 177.3°, resulting in a day that’s longer than its year. Meanwhile, Mercury’s nearly upright posture means it barely experiences any seasonal variation.
These cosmic inclinations aren’t just quirks — they’re climate-defining forces. A planet’s tilt determines how sunlight hits its surface, driving winds, storms, and the potential for habitability. Scientists also use tilt as a clue when studying exoplanets, helping them assess if distant worlds could support life. The more we understand axial tilt, the better we grasp the delicate balance that makes Earth — and perhaps other planets — livable.

Scientists found a galaxy that shouldn’t exist.
Experts say it should be impossible. But it’s there.
Astronomers have discovered a puzzling phenomenon in deep space: a small, isolated galaxy is somehow managing to form new stars despite residing in a cosmic desert.
Known as NGC 6789, this dwarf galaxy lies about 12 million light-years from Earth inside the Local Void—an enormous, largely empty region of the universe lacking in gas, galaxies, or star-forming material. And yet, new research reveals that about 4% of its stars were born in just the last 600 million years, a surprising finding given the galaxy’s desolate environment.
What makes NGC 6789 even more mysterious is that it shows no evidence of past collisions or mergers with other galaxies—events that might have delivered fresh gas. That leaves astronomers with two intriguing possibilities: either the galaxy preserved a reservoir of ancient gas since its formation, or it somehow drew in hydrogen from the surrounding void and rapidly converted it into stars. Either scenario challenges long-held assumptions about how and where galaxies can grow. In short, NGC 6789 is defying the odds—thriving in isolation where it shouldn’t be able to survive.
