I've been writing a @DurableStreams server in Rust to see how fast it can be. It reaches nearly a million appends per second on a single 4 vCPU box — an order of magnitude faster than current reference server 🧵

this works very well for things that have conformance tests btw wrote an @EffectTS_ fork of @DurableStreams by @ElectricSQL on @cloudflare durable objects by pointing the agent at the durable objects & workers docs, the durable streams codebase and conformance tests "make it pass the conformance tests"

It's a lot easier to build a coding harness then people think. 2 days in I'd say we're at ~60% of Claude Code / Codex / Open Code. Models do most of the work. And @DurableStreams and TanStack DB make quick work of building an amazing app around the coding agent.

Coding agents turn code from artifact into materialized view. The base tables are the ideas — algorithms, protocols, semantic contracts. The code is one projection. For decades we treated the artifact as authoritative because regenerating was expensive. It isn't anymore.
