14th August is observed as Black Day by Baloch, as Pakistans existence is a threat to Baloch and the entire region. #14AugustBlackDay

The terrorist Pakistan state martyred the Secretary General of BSO Azad, Raza Jahangir along with BNM regional companion Imdad Bojair on 14 August, 2013 in Turbat. Their sacrifice had strengthened us more ideologically and structurally. #14AugustBlackDay #MartyrsofDakiBazarAapsar
𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲𝐫 𝐈𝐦𝐝𝐚𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐣𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝟏𝟗𝟖𝟐–𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟑 “Simply breathing and existing is not life; rather, understanding the purpose of life and pursuing it is real life.” These golden words of Shaheed Imdad Bojair continue to resonate in the hearts and minds of political workers, inspiring them to remain steadfast, committed, and devoted to the national struggle for their motherland. Imdad Bojair, son of Bojair Baloch, was born on 1 December 1982 in Kehken village, Kech. He belonged to a respectable and modest family. He received his primary education in his native village of Kehken and completed his matriculation from Government High School Shahrak. For higher education, he moved to Turbat, where he completed his Intermediate from Atta Shad Degree College, Turbat, in 1999 and earned his BA from the same institution in 2005. He lived a simple and humble life and later migrated with his family to Dakhi Bazar, Aapsar, Turbat. He married in 2003. It was difficult for him to remain detached from the political circumstances surrounding Balochistan. Living amid occupation, repression, and colonial domination, he chose to devote himself to the political struggle for Balochistan. In 2009, he began his political journey through the platform of the Baloch National Movement (BNM). He served in various zonal positions within the BNM Turbat Zone and played a significant role in strengthening the organization. Until his martyrdom, he served as a regional leader and organizer in the Kech region. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐳𝐚 𝐉𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟗𝟖𝟕-𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟑 Martyr Raza Jahangir born in December 1 1987, in Teertaij, Awaran. A highly educated and esteemed person who he received his primary education from Teertaij and did his matriculation from Model High school Awaran. He had a diploma in electric sub engineering from Quetta college of Technology and did his graduation from Atha Shad Degree College Turbat and Masters in International Relation from University of Balochistan. Born in a society where colonialism, barbarism and inhumane behavior of Pakistan were at peak, Martyr Raza Jahangir couldn’t stop to resist against such atrocities and begin his political career in 2005 from Baloch Students Organisation (Mutahida). Where later becoming one of the first member of Baloch Student Organisation Azad hailing from Awaran. He was an active member of BSO Azad and played a crucial role in organising organisational structure in Awaran region. #MartyrsofDakiBazarAapsar #14AugustBlackDay
"Tomorrow, if the mothers and sisters of these traitors live to witness the liberation of Balochistan, they will surely curse their sons and brothers for having stood as stones and thorns in the path of the liberation movement. They will remember that, at a time when history demanded courage, their own sons and brothers chose to stand on the wrong side." A Quote from Martyr Raza Jahangir's speech. Martyr Raza Jahangir was a courageous political leader who sacrificed his life for this sacred homeland and his struggle is the legacy that we commit to continue till Freedom. #MartyrsofDakiBazarAapsar #14AugustBlackDay
𝟏𝟒 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 For the colonial state of Pakistan, 14 August represents its so-called “independence”, in real sense its creation, but for the Baloch people, the date carries an entirely different meaning. It is remembered as a symbol of the political order that emerged in the aftermath of British colonial rule and through which Balochistan’s political autonomy was ultimately extinguished. The partition of British India in 1947 created two new dominions, India and Pakistan, mainly on the basis of religion. While India existed before, but Pakistan was the new creation of British empire to serve her interests in the region. This creation left unresolved the political status of princely states and territories that had existed under British paramountcy. The British Empire was withdrawing, but its strategic calculations did not disappear overnight. British policymakers were deeply concerned with preserving their geopolitical and military interests in South Asia and the approaches toward the Middle East, Central Asia, and the Persian Gulf. Therefore, the creation of Pakistan was not only through communal politics and the demand for a Muslim state, but was the wider strategic calculations surrounding Britain’s withdrawal and its continuing interests in the region. The central issue is what happened to Balochistan when British paramountcy ended. Balochistan was not a single administrative unit under British rule; however British divided Balochistan and it consisted of British-administered territories alongside princely states, including the Khanate of Kalat and the states of Makran, Kharan, and Las Bela. The political status of Kalat became particularly important as the British prepared to leave. Kalat declared its independence on 11 August 1947, and the Baloch people possessed a political existence that could not simply be absorbed into the newly created Pakistan. This disagreement over sovereignty remains one of the foundational historical disputes between the Pakistani state narrative and Baloch nationalism. The dispute became decisive in March 1948, when Kalat was attacked and occupied on 27 March 1948. This ended the brief period of independence but created a wave of resistance against Pakistan’s occupation that continues to this day. What cannot be ignored, however, is that the occupation was followed by resistance. At the same time as Pakistan laid its greedy hands over Balochistan, the rebellion led by Prince Abdul Karim in 1948 demonstrated that the occupation did not produce political consensus across Baloch society. Therefore, the meaning of 14 August cannot be separated from the events of 11 August 1947 and 27 March 1948. Consequently, when Pakistan celebrates 14 August, the Baloch see it as the beginning of a colonial period. The designation of 14 August as a Black Day is an expression of historical oppression: a rejection of a state formation that today exists as a terrorist state in the region and serves the interests of superpowers. Even years after its formation, it is still the most politically unstable state in the region that has committed every form of human rights violation, kept innocent lives in misery, and practiced genocide in its every place, including Balochistan, Kashmir, KPK, and Sindh. bsoazad.org/editorial/14-a…
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲𝐫𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐡: 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧 Hayat Baloch was a 23-year-old Baloch student from Absar, Turbat, Kech, who came from a modest family and was the second of four siblings. He was a final-year B.Sc. Physiology student at the University of Karachi and was among the first in his family to pursue higher education. Despite financial difficulties, he continued his studies while helping his father in the date orchard. He aspired to pursue further education, hoping to improve the circumstances of his family and serve his community. On 13 August 2020, Hayat's aspirations were violently cut short. Following an IED attack on a Frontier Corps vehicle in Absar, in which three FC personnel were injured, security personnel entered the area and Hayat was taken into custody, hands tied and dragged at roadside, while he was working with his father in the family orchard. Hayat had no connection with the attack and was beaten, restrained, and subsequently shot repeatedly eight times. His father pleaded for his son's life, while his mother cried loudly in sorrow over her helplessness. The martyrdom of Hayat Baloch provoked widespread protests and campaigns, particularly among Baloch students. In Balochistan, such incidents aren't new; every day, Baloch students are subjected to disappearances, torture, and dumping, or face harassment and assault in the so-called educational institutions. Hayat's case became emblematic because a young university student who was pursuing education and working in his family's orchard was martyred without any proof of the incident. Hayat's martyrdom is also remembered within the broader history of allegations of enforced disappearances, arbitrary detention, extrajudicial killings, and intimidation of Baloch activists and students. We have repeatedly argued that students involved in political or rights activism face particular pressure, citing cases such as the disappearance of student leader Zahid Baloch and Asad Baloch and the later disappearances of University of Balochistan students. These have contributed to a climate in which many Baloch students perceive education and political expression as carrying security risks. Pakistani authorities and security institutions have a systematic policy of targeting Baloch students and activists. Nevertheless, Hayat's martyrdom remains a powerful symbol in Baloch society of the vulnerability of young Baloch civilians under militarisation: a student with ambitions of higher education and service to his community whose life ended before he could realise those ambitions.
#MartyrRezaJehangeer and #14thAugust This day only reminds us of the atrocities committed against us to impose the policies of disempowerment, disenfranchisement and dehumanization in short, a policy of erasure to facilitate Balochistan resources’ exploitation.
Respected Banuk Karima and my friend Reza Jehangeer had visited me in February of 2013 and stayed with me a few days. He along with Imdad Bajeer was killed on the 14t August 2013 and yet we are expected to celebrate. Don’t expect us to forget and forgive the inflicted pain.
#SurabMassacre
I wish children didn’t die. I wish they would be temporarily elevated to the skies until the war ends. Then they would return home safe, and when their parents would ask them, where are you? They would say, we were playing in the clouds. #BalochistanBleed #SurabMassacre #StopBalochGenocide
The images coming out of Surab, Balochistan are horrifying. Local reports claim that 20-27 civilians (including children) have been killed in a military operation & many more injured. However, due to the media blackout, even such a large-scale tragedy will not become news.
During an Intelligence Based Operation in Surab, Central Balochistan province, Pakistan, a quadcopter struck a compound filled with explosives causing a massive explosion, resulting in significant damages to the surroundings, Official and Local Sources say. More details are
These pictures are the evidence of Pakistani aggressions, what they called it “Successful Military Operation.” #SurabMassacre #Balochistan
#GraphicWarningAlert “Intelligence Based Operation” targeting a “compound filled with explosives.” This is the compound: women, Children, Elderly men. These are the “terrorists” Pakistan Air Force eliminated in Surab on August 11. 27 people dead, All civilians. This is the military’s definition of success. This is what they mean by “significant damage.” This is what they call precision targeting.
