This should make you angry. This is Bonnie Pierce, a 38-year-old mother of three from St. Paul, Minnesota. Her house caught fire. She and two of her children escaped, then realized her toddler was still inside. Bonnie went back in, found the child, but could not get out. She shielded the child with her body. She died from her burns. The child survived. A GoFundMe for her family raised about $42,000. By comparison, more than $1,000,000 was raised on GoFundMe for Lindsay Clancy, who was charged with killing her children. It is a sad reflection of the society we have become. RIP Bonnie.

When Gatlinburg burned in 2016, she sent 900 families $1,000 a month for six months. You've probably heard that part. Here's the part you haven't: The fund raised more than expected, so she showed up in May and handed every one of those families another $5,000 on top. Then she quietly put $3 million into the recovery group that handles the years after the news trucks leave. She built her county an entire hospital. She played a benefit concert in 2007, Dollywood and the Stampede matched it, and LeConte Medical Center opened in 2010 with a birthing unit and a women's center in it. In 2022 she started covering 100% of tuition, books, and fees for Dollywood employees. Full-time, part-time, AND seasonal. In 1991 she paid for a bald eagle sanctuary because the birds couldn't be released back into the wild, no press release. And when Hurricane Helene came through here in Western North Carolina, she wrote a personal check for $1 million and her companies matched it. She didn't owe North Carolina anything, but she helped us anyway. She started the Imagination Library because her daddy couldn't read or write. Before he passed, he told her it was the most important thing she ever did. Rest in Peace, Dolly 🇺🇸

🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting after a Charlotte NC man who was PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED of M*RDER was LET OUT OF JAIL ON BOND by a judge for possessing a weapon... ...AND 84 MINUTES LATER he sh0t 2 men IN THE BACK and K*LLED ONE OF THEM His name is David Simpson and he was sitting in the Mecklenburg County Jail on a warrant for possessing a WEAPON. He posted a $10,000 bond. The doors opened at 12:21 in the morning. At 1:45 AM, 84 minutes later, he sh0t 2 men at the Country Club Apartments on Dunlavin Way. One de*d at the scene. One in the hospital. Investigators say surveillance video shows Simpson walking up BEHIND both men and firing twice. Why? A PARKING SPOT. The victim lived a few doors down and had parked in the spot in front of Simpson's door. That's it. That's the whole reason. In 2013, Simpson was charged with FIRST-DEGREE M*RDER for shooting Richard Bonds during a fight in an uptown parking lot. He pleaded it down to voluntary manslaughter. He served ONLY FIVE YEARS. He was out in 2020. His record and found TEN more notable arrests AFTER that release!!!! I found 9 separate sets of charges in the last 3 years alone. He has literally been charged OVER AND OVER with possession of a firearm by a felon. A man who already k*lled someone. Who is BARRED BY LAW from touching a gun. Who kept getting caught with one anyway. ...AND SOMEHOW A JUDGE SAW ALL OF THIS AND LET A MAN OUT ON BOND???????????? He refused to even come to court Friday morning!!!!!! A judge had to ORDER HIM BACK that afternoon!!! WHY WAS HE LET OUT OF JAIL??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS!!!!!!!
