Year 12 Biology students took part in the Intermediate Biology Olympiad, questions required knowledge of core principles alongside problem solving skills. Lauren achieved a Bronze award whilst Carson, Emily and Abigail were commended. A huge well done to all that took part.

-Year 8 participated in an active and engaging workshop by Speak to Win about public speaking. -Year 9 started to consider Post-16 options with a talk from James Buckley from The Pledge about apprenticeships which featured alumni student Morgan Barnett.

Finally - the Crystal Maze, where pupils had limited time to hunt down as many red, gold or black crystals as they could, each crystal having a point value. After the big count, the winners of the day were Marlfields with Marton coming a close second.

Year 10 students had a brilliant day at Macclesfield College last week trying out a range of courses including business, bricklaying, automotive, hairdressing and Whites Chef’s Academy. Students changed wheels on cars, made pasta from scratch and created their own tote bags.
