@KatTapestry And they want us to tie up, and waste the energy of people who are blaming them. It’s really hard to focus and organize around wealth inequality, climate change, etc., when there are open displays of bigotry, and state-funded attacks on vulnerable people to respond to as well.

@westlondchelsea @gmuchineripi @Mr_Husky1 What folks like this refuse to remember is that a lot of us were mad at governments for not doing enough, fast enough. There was a huge outcry of “why does this need to be open? How is this essential? Why aren’t we getting tests/masks/vaccines faster?”

@CityNewsTO @TonyYvce There’s a long history of people with a wide variety of group affiliations and ideologies targeting synagogues. Everyone in these comments trying to assign blame to anyone, of any affiliation or background, without more information is irresponsible at best.

@TonyYvce Yes, fuck that guy. That said, principled conservatives, standing on “I’m going to be exactly this evil, and any further evil is unacceptable” have historically been helpful resisting fascism when things got really dark. Not sure Kenney really is one of those, of course.

I was reminded that yesterday was the 4th anniversary of the now-dubbed "Battle of Billings Bridge" when over a thousand of us in Ottawa blockaded convoyers from coming into our city. With the growing far-right, it's a good reminder of how we can still fight back - and win.

The shooting in Tumbler Ridge is tragic and my thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones. But now my thoughts also have to be with my transgender friends who are worried for their safety while riding home on the bus.

@CantstopSandra @maddenifico If they were having some stupid selfish shit fit about their masks making them itchy, or wanting to have an armed white supremacist compound, you’d call them heroes. You just can’t handle the fact that they are standing up for other people, not just themselves.
