@thatdogihate Continues story set up in the original (Gaster), same gameplay but enhanced, bigger, etc. It's also how Sans ended up in undertale, so its a prequel in that regard (but a prequel is a type of sequel)

@arachonteur There is a difference between the resolution being at the very end of the story and the story not actually being told until the end. Imagine if Twin Peaks only had Laura mentioned in blink and you'll miss in background details and she wasn't named until 3 episodes before the end

The new OoT won't incorporate TotK lore. TotK's backstory is so obviously a reimagining of Ocarina of Time's Imprisoning War the same way Four Swords Adventures is. OoT3D didn't suddenly replace OoT-Ganon with FSA-Ganon. That'd be stupid

@StarkyTheSald Deltarune is already struggling in areas where Undertale thrived, like how long the game is which clashes with its desire for the player to replay the game (weird route, shadow crystals, mantle). Undertale being short and designed around being replayed is one of its strengths

Modern Zelda fans are so funny, they go "We had the same OoT-style games for 10 years, it got stale! We needed botw" and then you look at the last 10 years SINCE botw and its only it and its assetflip "sequel". I'd rather have 5 OoT-esque games than the same "new" game two times

Wind Waker is a solved game. It has a certain moment where its systems no longer become any more interesting and hits a wall. This applies to all 3D Zeldas BEFORE the Wild Era. Aonuma is thinking far bigger than people give him credit for.

I don't think I can handle the idea of the OoT remake being 1:1. You can't waste a zelda dev cycle on a 1:1 remake. We're gonna end up with 15 years between BotW and a new original 3D Zelda 🥲
