#رواق بغداد يجمع الدبلوماسية الدولية لمناقشة تحديات الحكومة وآفاق العراق الإقليمية' بحضور رفيع المستوى ضمّ عدداً من السفراء وممثلي البعثات الدبلوماسية في العاصمة بغداد، عقد مركز رواق بغداد للسياسات العامة جلسة حوارية صباحية معمّقة، سلطت الضوء على المشهد السياسي الراهن ومستقبل العلاقات الخارجية للعراق، حيث شهدت قراءة تحليلية في العقبات والملفات الحيوية التي تواجه حكومة رئيس الوزراء السيد علي الزيدي ،واستشراف آفاق العلاقات العراقية مع محيطه العربي والدولي، وبحث فرص نجاح بغداد كعامل استقرار محوري في المنطقة، شهدت الجلسة التي ادراها رئيس مركز رواق بغداد للسياسات العامة الدكتور عباس العنبوري مشاركة دبلوماسية متميزة تمثلت بـ: السيدة آلا طالباني (مستشارة رئيس الوزراء لشؤون المرأة). وسعادة السفير الروماني السيد رادو أوكتافيان دوبري، وسعادة السفيرة الإسبانية، السيدة أليثيا ريكو. وسعادة السفير الياباني السيد أكيرا إندو، ومعه مدير القسم السياسي في السفارة السيد توموهيرو ماتسوشيما. وسعادة السفيرة هدى البهادلي. وسعادة السفيرة خولة الحسني. تأتي هذه الجلسة ضمن جهود مركز رواق بغداد المستمرة لتعزيز الحوار وصناعة السياسات، وبناء جسور التواصل بين صناع القرار والبعثات الدبلوماسية الدولية ، Rewaq Baghdad Brings Together the Diplomatic Community to Discuss Government Priorities and Iraq’s Regional Role With the participation of ambassadors and representatives of international diplomatic missions in Baghdad, Rewaq Baghdad Center for Public Policy convened a high-level dialogue to examine Iraq’s current political landscape and the future trajectory of its foreign relations. Moderated by the Chairman of the Center, Dr. Abbas Al Anbori, the session featured an in-depth discussion on the principal challenges facing the government of Prime Minister Mr. Ali Al-Zaidi, the prospects for Iraq’s relations with its Arab and international partners, and Baghdad’s evolving role as a key contributor to regional stability. Among the distinguished participants were Ms. Ala Talabani, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Women’s Affairs; H.E. Ambassador Radu Octavian Dobre of Romania; H.E. Ambassador Alicia Rico of Spain; H.E. Ambassador Akira Endo of Japan, accompanied by Mr. Tomohiro Matsushima, Head of the Political Section at the Embassy of Japan; H.E. Ambassador Huda Al-Bahadli; and H.E. Ambassador Khawla Al-Hassani. Prime Minister @AliFalihAlzaidy met today, with a number of the European Union ambassadors to Iraq. Prime Minister Al-Zaidi outlined the government’s vision for the next phase, including its reform agenda and development plans. He stressed that confining arms to the hands of the state is not merely a slogan, but a policy already being implemented, and that the government remains committed to this course, particularly as Coalition forces are scheduled to complete their withdrawal by September 30. The Prime Minister also highlighted the government’s efforts to combat corruption, stressing that no one will be allowed to misuse the Iraqi people’s wealth or gamble with their future. He affirmed that no one who violates the law or steals Iraq’s public funds will be beyond the reach of justice, and that the government will work to recover the assets looted during previous periods. The Prime Minister affirmed that the government is working to make Iraq a meeting point, not a point of confrontation, while rejecting any dealings by foreign states with any domestic party in a manner that undermines Iraq’s sovereignty. He also emphasized the government’s open-door policy toward international cooperation across various sectors, including energy, industry, and agriculture, and invited all European companies to establish economic partnerships with Iraq, noting that the government is moving forward with a comprehensive reform drive and legislative amendments aimed at developing the national economy and achieving development. For their part, the European Union ambassadors commended the government’s vision and policies, particularly with regard to economic affairs, combating corruption, and confining arms to the hands of the state. They also expressed their countries’ readiness to enter into significant economic and development partnerships with Iraq.

In discussions with the European Ambassadors to Iraq In Baghdad, we reaffirmed our support for the Iraqi Government’s efforts to combat corruption, strengthen state institutions, and safeguard Iraq’s sovereignty and political independence. We emphasized that, given the rapidly evolving regional landscape, the continued delay in forming the next Kurdistan Regional Government carries serious consequences for the Kurdistan Region. All political parties must rise to the responsibility of this moment and move swiftly to form a new government based on partnership and a shared vision.

Prime Minister @AliFalihAlzaidy met today, with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Iraq, Alicia Rico Pérez del Pulgar. The Ambassador conveyed the congratulations of Spanish Prime Minister @sanchezcastejon on the occasion of the government gaining the confidence of the Council of Representatives and the formation of the new government. She also affirmed her country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and Spain and expanding cooperation across various fields. During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the depth of the distinguished relations between the two countries and Iraq’s readiness to further develop and advance them, particularly in the economic, development, and investment sectors, in a manner that serves the shared interests of the two friendly peoples. For her part, the Spanish Ambassador praised the achievements of the Iraqi government in strengthening state sovereignty and restricting arms to state authority, affirming that these steps contribute to consolidating stability and improving the investment environment. She also expressed the interest of Spanish companies in expanding their presence and investments in Iraq and participating in the development opportunities the country is witnessing.
