Delhi: Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary says, "Deloitte and Enable have come together and launched a white paper on the purple economy, highlighting the massive opportunity that exists when we view people with disabilities not from a welfare point of view, but as innovators, creators, producers, consumers, and capable citizens, and recognise their contributions from an economic perspective. These systems, whether in education, skilling, or entrepreneurship development, need to be equipped to focus on capacity building so that our engagement with the purple economy can be enabled."

The journey towards Viksit Bharat must include pathways for every individual to learn, work and contribute to the nation’s progress. We came together on November 17 for the inaugural edition of the Open Sky Open Mind (OSOM) Summit & Awards, co-created by Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) and @enableindia. OSOM is a one-of-a-kind global platform that showcases innovative and inclusive accessibility solutions. It brought together airport leaders, startups, global innovators and changemakers. The event opened with a @ZeroProjectorg Tech Forum; other highlights included a panel discussion on airport accessibility, the Purple Pavilion, the OSOM awards and a stunning fashion-show by models with disabilities.
