@profstonge@elonmusk Candidates are listed once for each party that have endorsed them. Eric Adam should have been removed if he dropped from the race…but that party may not have endorsed any other candidate, so he stayed on the ballot.
@LauraPowellEsq Almost all entertainers have forgotten this, not just late night hosts. All of Hollywood, the influencers, the musicians and singers need to take note: you are an entertainer, and part of this media problem.
“I'm a lifelong Democrat and I have spent hours out of my life the past few days watching Charlie Kirk debates”
She’s having an awakening after seeing that all the clips the media used to villainize Charlie Kirk were ALL LIES, they were all clipped and out of context
“The example I want to use is that clip that was everywhere that went viral, everybody was quoting it where Charlie said, I don't like the word empathy. We've probably all seen the short and the long version at this point where he goes on to clarify that he prefers the word sympathy.
Agree with them or disagree with them, doesn't matter to me. The point is the real conversation never happened because the clip was cut in half. Why? To reinforce the idea that the right is full of these monsters who reject human feelings.
That that wasn't an accident. That omission was deliberate and strategic”
She talks about how her own Party has become a “mob mentality”
“It's not about Charlie Kirk. It's about us taking the time to reflect. Are we living up to our own standards and our own ideals? Are we leading with Integrity? Are we just falling into a different version of the same trap? Because from my viewpoint, I don't know, it feels like we're becoming a lot like the things we claim to stand against”
446 days of waiting for a promotion: I’m done chasing it. Chasing it is bringing me to dark places. It’s time to search out the warmth feeling of sunshine in other locations.
@JDVanceNewsX I would be more interested in the process in determining who is fired. Not all beauracrats are harmful/bad and are trying to do right in bad constraints.
Oversaw major project: 9 months of work by 6 different people, 4 of which were in different departments. We had to redo the work 3 times due to changes by management. I finished creating over 300 separate emails 2 days ahead of time. I get “awesome job!” No promotion. Yay me!
The job market has constricted; even in my sector. Still waiting. There is no real explanation for the delay - but “thank you for your patience!”
I have been asking for help, I am not getting it. I suspect the additional staff will never come through.
I am in a bad place - a place where the beckoning arms of sleep are a seductive siren. I have finally lost this battle with my employer: I am exhausted and cannot continue. My thought process is horrible, my energy is nonexistent, and my only thoughts are on that lovely siren…
482 days of doing the work. 352 days without the promotion. 126 days with no assistance from the union. I get to email/ text the union every other day. Still no response.
Why should I continue to work for this employer?
Looking through my life, I am struggling to understand why I am struggling. I have the education, the experience, and work well with my colleagues. Yet, I can’t help but feel I’m not from the right “family.”
331 days since promotion paperwork was submitted. I’m doing the job & fighting people who don’t recognize that this is my role without title.
Not only do I have to fight my employer & union to resolve this issue, but also colleagues who don’t wish to do jobs as I specify.
Meaningful support is someone taking substantial tasks off your list, not taking a task that take 0.05% of you time.
But go ahead, pat yourself on the back, thinking you’re the GOAT.
We track everything I do at work. But employer can’t track my promotion paperwork? It’s been 219 days since its submission...did it get sucked into a vortex?
#HR
“Leave it at work, don’t take it home with you.”
“Leave home at home.”
Neither of these ideologies work. This is why people are asking for work life balance.
When your employer drags their feet on hiring and/or promoting actions, existing workers’ morale plummets. Overworking current staff encourages them to look for new employment. #HRnotes
How long does one wait for a promotion? I interviewed 144 days ago. My package went to HR 133 days ago. I gave up a possible job in Louisiana for this… The kicker: I AM CURRENTLY DOING THE JOB I AM SUPPOSED TO BE PROMOTED TO. Not going to get back pay for any of the work either.
