Palantir の FDEモデルを、Echo チーム、いわゆるDeployment Strategist、顧客側に埋め込まれて課題を発掘する役割と Delta チーム、Forward Deployed Software Engineer / FDSE、プロトタイプを高速で組む役割の 2軸で整理して解説した ブログ記事でした！「FDE 一人勝ちではなくドメイン側と実装側の二人三脚」という整理ができてなるほどなと思いました 求められるスキルセットも対照的で、Echo側は Python / R / SQL に加えてドメイン知識とユーザー共感力がコア、Delta 側は Python・Java・C++・TypeScript・Go・Hadoop・NoSQL・Spark・ElasticSearch といった広い技術スタックが前提と大きく変わっています そして両者の協働サイクルは、Echoが顧客の現場で高レバレッジな問題をみつけ、Deltaが短期間でプロトタイプを作ってフィードバックをもらい改善、最後に製品チームがそれを一般化してプラットフォームに取り込むという流れ。 コンサル的なカスタム実装が製品ロードマップに昇華していくサイクルがイメージしやすかったです 結論はFDE だけでは片手落ちでEchoとDeltaの関係こそがFDEがうまく動くためのの鍵というものでした！面白かったです！
