@NYCTSubway please fix the subway time displays in the 8th avenue 14th Street station. they freeze for upwards of a minute before they unfreeze for no more than five seconds.

What I wish more people understood about STL developers is that we are (or at least I am) incredibly lazy. We would like nothing more than to ship simple, correct, fast code. If you see complicated code, it’s very likely we’re forced to do that, or we have clever optimizations.

@bogado @timur_audio @LouisDionne @lunasorcery @jfbastien the exceptions can be header only, but that results in a lot of code bloat because it requires emitting the RTTI in every translation unit. And that's a serious QoI issue.
